What are we to make of Farage not standing for election in the GE?
He owns the so called Brexit party and steps aside in what should be it's finest hour?
He scuttled off when he unexpectedly got the result he sought in the referendum. He’s just performing as we’ve come to expect. Farage is a professional shitstirrer, plenty of gob, but no constructive ideas.

Even the dimmest Brexit fan must wonder what is the point of voting for a party who's leader (sorry owner) is such a coward?
It is obviously a wasted vote.

There is bound to be a joke in there somewhere

Boris doesn't know where he's going to stand( till Cummings tells him)
Farage isn't going to stand anywhere
Corbyn is standing everywhere in every way(maybe)

The old adage "We knew what we were voting for" has even less chance of being true about the coming GE!
Rumour has it that this is supposed to result in a victory for a Government that will successfully run the country
Seriously?
I'm optimistic about that, as Les Dawson put it
"I'm as optimistic as a Turkey sitting on piles of boxes of Paxo
Listening to Christmas Carols."

And if we leave the EU it will leave the impression that a brick does thirty seconds after it was tossed into a pond!

Disappointing headline of the day, and a classic case of poor editing in the Independent.

Boris Johnson news – live: PM apologises for failing to deliver his ‘do or die’ Brexit, as Tory MP steps down amid groping claims

Fancy relying on a lonely comma as a separator
For one lovely moment.......

He knows he is better utilised going all over the country.

He is the best speech maker out of the lot of them. Regardless of your politics he is the closest we have to a statesman atm.

Rubbish!
He is simply afraid of being rejected at the polls again.
What use is the leader of a party that isn't an MP? he's a liability to them.

It's beyond your intellectual capabilities to understand this.

I certainly won't be explaining it to you.

One (of the many) problems I have with JC is the pathetic job he did in campaigning for remain during the referendum.
Since he's always been opposed to EU membership he wasn't campaigning for Remain. The only party leader doing that was the ineffectual David Cameron.

“I put it to them quite clearly: I said, our objections are now gone. We are now supporting a general election – and everybody gulped. I didn’t alert anybody in advance – it was my decision. On my own. I made that decision. And they gulped, and said, Yes Jeremy.”

Sure Jeremy. All on your own.

You is a big boy now.

Oh very droll,
"It's beyond your intellectual capabilities to understand this."
Very droll indeed.
Was that an attempt at a "put down"?
Are you actually unable to see exactly what manner of beast Farage is?
Or are you another one of the same?

One thing certainly is beyond my "intellectual capacity"
That you can have such a distorted rosy view of such an enemy of the nation.

Only if you believe Fox News

Meanwhile most folk have sussed him out

I’m not a fan. But objectively speaking he is the clearest at getting his message across.

Even across the other one trick ponies such as the Lib not dems and snp he wipes the floor with them.

Cheeky chops certainly does bring out bigoted tendancies in otherwise sweet little old ladies....

Though Cummings & BJ seem immune to his slippery sliver tongue

She's as sweet as a fart after a 36hr coke binge.

So I'm told.
