There are usually ways. One is using the redundancy route, "we can only continue employing so many under these new conditions. Without your agreement some will have to be made redundant." Then there's the relative lack of protection for part time workers, and the supermarkets employ lots of them.I don’t understand how they can dismiss their employees for the offence of not agreeing to destroy their contracts of employment and signing up to new less favourable terms. There must be a case for constructive dismissal or unfairness.
