I suspect you mean 2021, .. but that is not acceptable to us. We want Zero Border Checks
2025, there won't be enough time to change the setup in 2021,
It's about how the EU sees its border.
In the case of Norway, it's just customs border, Norway is already in the Single Market.
Bojo's proposal simply creates a Norway type border 5 miles in from the real border.
Plus, doing the checks in warehouses reduces the risk of the latter becoming targets for violence.
As for recognizing the right to leave the SM to be best left with the NI people, I don't think the EU will oppose it.
Leo better accept the deal.

Good. I hope we do ban private school. It’s a conveyor belt churning out self entitled, self important scum who think they are far more clever than they are. Take away their tax exemption and their charitable status.

Tax those fuckers till they burst. We won’t need to ban them actually just make the little darlings parents pay what they should be paying without state hand outs. They are the real scum in this farce.

I’m happy for my money to be shared out to the less fortunate than me. It’s called society.

Your racist fantasy of abuse of the NHS is straight of the Enoch Powell playbook. It dates you.

Stick to magnets not life advice. And stop eating so many lemons. They make you sound bitter.
Wow, angry man alert!!!

Glad I didn't have to cut Laura's piece tonight.

As much as I can't abide Johnson I find Corbyn so unelectable it sickens me.

My vote matters not where I live. But that may change when I move to my Brexit house.

I would still vote Labour though. Unless there. Is an independent that could win.
If the UK practiced PR and multiple seat constituencies, then your vote would always matter. It would require you to be more invested in the political process, and would inevitably lead to more representative democracy..and more coalitions and compromise

Your obsession about parents taking children out if school early could be easily remedied.

Don't let travel agents rip off parents during school holidays. What they do is criminal and needs curtailing forthwith.
They don't rip people off, it's market driven. Idiot parents pay the extortionate prices & there is no shortage of dick-heads and mugs to fill the seats on the aeroplanes. I'd like to see parents charged £250 / day per child they take out of the education system.

What the parents could do is take their children on day trips to places like a pottery or a barometer museum. They might learn something instead of watching their fat shaven headed Brexit Dad stuff his gut with chips & ale on a Spanish beach.

Not ensuring children do homework
This bit is what qualified my given Like, I am totally against homework for schoolchildren for these reasons and more:

It's abused by lazy teachers sending what should be done in school outside.

Some ambitious schools overload the amount of homework to try to get better results in the league tables.

The conditions under which the children do their homework vary enormously. Some are in a family jammed into a room or two of temporary accommodation. Some have overcrowded home conditions with many disruptive siblings of all ages. Some have to do their homework in the same room as a blaring TV or arguing parents. While at the the other end of the scale there are those who have a quiet well equipped room with desk and computer to aid them. The result is extreme unfairness of opportunity. All schooling should be within the legislated days and hours and within equal school conditions.

I enforced this during my secondary education, point blank refusing to do any homework for three years or any resulting detentions, to when I was expelled at 14.

That did me no harm, to the best of my knowledge I'm the only one in my school year to complete only 38 working years and retire in my early 50s in financial comfort for the rest of my life.

They could go to the Library. Our local one has a learning room with computers.

I'm sure someone finds your shtick funny down the Rotary or Conservative club.

Please don't waste this valuable material on us. Some poor Nigel is being deprived of you bawling into their face about immigrants, brexidiots, how Enoch Powell had it right etc. You smile inwardly as this person flinches from your spittle flecked diatribe about how it wasn't like this in the 50's. Both of you knowing its because of black people but you don't have to say it. You both just know.

Lazy fat council house people to bone idle to work is your next volley with a final flourish on Eastern Europeans taking all the jobs and driving wages down.

I can imagine the whole sordid spectacle as I've met hundreds of you down the years and we know you are in the majority because you keep voting the same shower in time after time.

You have covered quite a large spectrum of topics, most of which I never mentioned. Try to control your anger and confine yourself to the subject.

Maybe if you had benefited from a good education, you wouldn’t find yourself in cold calling tele-sales, trying to fill the small adds section of your local rag.

They can't when there isn't one because so many have been closed and they can't afford the fares or the time to go to a more distant remaining one. The cuts so many libraries have suffered mean many don't have such luxuries as learning rooms, we've even lost our mobile library service.

Colchester school compulsory homework back after protests

Compulsory homework is to be brought back to a school that abolished it in 2016 to give teachers more time.

The policy introduced to Philip Morant School and College in Colchester by former head Catherine Hutley was "divisive and confusing" parents said.

I did a piece about that for LDN so I am fully conversant in those buildings.

In fact I'd go as far to say I know everything you know but with more detail.

Plus I know my stuff that you don't know.

Which is lots.

Regarding youor last paragraph
It rankles those who believe in Education being a basic Human Right!
Nothing whatsoever to do with communism, a great deal to do being a humanitarian.
You should try it sometime
Insulting again OG.
Give it a rest.
Any labour suppprter proposing the banning of private education has gone over line of being labour and into that of communism.
Making it superfluous with correct structures, funding and management would be a labour policy. Banning it, requisitioning capital, resources and land is straight from the Stalin hand book. If the cap fits OG.
BTW, I expressed quite a neutral stance on private education. I see it has its place in our depleted and beoken state system bur accept in an ideal world private education would not need tp exist.
When you and your comrades have achieved Nirvana you wont need to ban it. (yes, I know its a misuse of word Nirvana, its a state of mind we all strive to achieve rather than an ideal society but I, m sure you, ll misinterpret by post anyway so WTF)

I find myself in agreement about the skiving off school bit. But the parents should be fined.. It is an offence!.

No Zlatan, you are the one who should give it a rest
Sorry but once again you come out with your favourite "Holier than thou " tripe about being insulted and what do you do?
You come out with no less than THREE insults
..........................................
"Any labour suppprter proposing the banning of private education has gone over line of being labour and into that of communism.
..........................................
And then you come out with this?
"is straight from the Stalin hand book. If the cap fits OG.
..........................
And this?

When you and your comrades have achieved Nirvana

Your motto must be something like this

"Normally I can't stand hypocrisy
But I make an example in my own case"

And by the way I didn't misinterpret your post.
Your motivations are all to obvious to anyone.
