It must be true because Mr Savid Dajid, or whatever his name is, has said so. There is no longer a shortage of money.
What a shower. They put the country through years of austerity to get on top of the national debt growth.

Now they are going to spend us back to square one by borrowing, rendering all the hardship suffered by many completely pointless.

Er - no. +2 -2 = 0. -2 -2 = -4.

And as for what the other shower would have done..... what's their latest? £500b borrowed is something close.

I agree, they are now going to blow the fruits of a decade's worth of hardship and lack of services for millions of people in a feeble attempt to buy an election win. Labour are no better, they would do the same.

E xactly, back to square one as I posted, all for nothing, so pointless.

Once the Tories were the most trusted for management of the economy, but in recent years they haven't have a fiscal policy. It's obviously decided from moment to moment on a whim, with three chancellors in a row, each with their own very different personal policy.

If you are going to spread lies try to be somewhere near the truth eh?

Nowhere near the truth are you? but then lying has always been the Conservative way, hasn't it?
And the bigger the lie the better, now where have I seen that before eh?

And as the graphic shows the hardship felt by many was due to having incompetent idiots running the country, and look at them now, as your hero Boris embarasses not just himself but all of us.
He needs to resign, he's giving the nation a reputation for lying and duplicity we simply do not need

I think a Darwin award is due to Boris

The Conservative working majority in the UK House of Commons shifted to minus 1, as Tory MP Phillip Lee crossed to the opposition benches to become a Liberal Democrat. Later that evening their majority dropped further — to negative forty-three, as twenty-one Tory MPs were expelled for voting against the government to advance a bill that would potentially block crashing out of the European Union with No Deal on October 31.

How long before he puts the blame on Cummings, or Gove, or the EU, or Farage or anybody handy???

Classic moment of the Box when one commentator asks why are rebels still sitting with the Government and the answer came back.
There's no room anywhere else to sit!

Hooray, rejoice, hallelujah, austerity has ended. The belt tightening has paid off and now we are all going to benefit. Good times are coming.
Make hay while the benefits of Brexit lasts.... UK 'at risk of slipping into recession'

The UK is at risk of slipping into recession, according to a closely watched survey of industry managers.

The dominant services sector grew only slightly in August, the purchasing managers' index (PMI) from IHS Markit/CIPS suggests.

"The lack of any meaningful growth... raises the likelihood that the UK economy is slipping into recession," said IHS economist Chris Williamson.

The construction and manufacturing sectors also shrunk in August.

Government is defeated again in motion on general election

As expected, Boris Johnson has suffered another big loss, with the Commons rejecting his motion calling for a general election.
The PM would have needed 434 votes to reach a two third majority.

So what happens now? He can’t exit without a deal, he can’t call an election and he says he will not ask the EU for an extension. Where does he go?
