this from someone who thinks Corbyn and his band of marxist muppets is going to save the country
I've never said that or ever thought it. What I have said is that I'd like Corbyn to have a single term to get his nationalisation of rail and water through. Safe since he wouldn't get a second term.

I've also said that the many years of tory and pseudo tory government that we've had is unhealthy and that I'd like to see alternation to keep out politics healthy, but that doesn't have to be Corbyn or even Labour ruling instead.

Most of all I'd like to have proportional representation which will ensure the above things are much more likely. And which would have prevented the idiocy of Brexit.

Johnson absolutely denies there will be a snap GE

maybe you are right there flecc, but there has got to be a credible opposition with sensible policies

This was a Leave country ruled by Remainer politicians, proof of the chasm that now separates elite opinion from public opinion. The new Cabinet goes some way to rectifying that.
Really? I understood the new cabinet is 50/50 balanced, just like the country.

I wonder what it might take to frighten them into being a remain majority. Leaving not going well, trade talks not going well?

If only you practiced what you preached eh?

What has offended you out of interest Gerald?
You are babbling fingers I have never promoted the idea of Empire, and I suggest you don't either,
Keep your nonsense about being my being offended, you are making a fool of yourself again
And I always practice what I preach, which is what offends you about me.

Sweet sweet music.

"You don’t have to have unfettered faith in this Cabinet to see that it feels refreshing. It was always a depressing sign of the times that British politics – not to mention the British media elite, the cultural elite, the university system, the judiciary and all other powerful institutions – were dominated by Remainers. This was a Leave country ruled by Remainer politicians, proof of the chasm that now separates elite opinion from public opinion. The new Cabinet goes some way to rectifying that. Now let’s leave. Properly, fully, with no turning back. Out, out, out."
Of course it was dominated by remainers, they had logic on their side, and now we have bunch of liars cheats and swindlers, backed by 300 hedge funds poised to make a killing at the public expense, how is that an improvement?

Now lets cancel Brexit and push for the criminal bunch that fiddled the referendum to appear in court where they belong.

Tricky when one is dealing with an uninformed electorate who fall for populists. Labour in it's current form has put forward many more sensible policies than the tories
I actually believe that JC could make brexit work.

You mean people who haven't actually worked for the money spiralling house prices have gifted them with?
Why shouldn't that money be taxed? it wasn't actually earned, was it? more of a windfall really.
Yes, great idea. Lets tax house price increases to give away to folk that wont work, then next generation wont be able to buy houses, then house prices will collapse and we, ll have a depression which would make 1933 look like boom years.
Besides house prices have hardly rissen, out of London bubble, for 20 years or more now. The 80's were golden years for both FTSE and house price rises. Both relatively static for years.

They use the heavy, concrete sleepers so even 50 degree heat wouldn’t affect it. It’s one of the reasons the Eurostar isn’t affected by heat.

Same as the bullet trains in Japan.
Unfortunately SNCF say they slow down their TGV services in high temperatures. (Apologies for the site linked to.)

Special prize for who can figure out who said this:

"In some ways the most admirable thing about the appointment of Cummings is that it suggests Johnson doesn’t care that much what the media class thinks. He must have known that having Cummings at No10 would cause a meltdown among those chattering-class muppets who think Cummings is a mad, criminal mastermind who hoodwinked the electorate in 2016 – and yet he still did it. Let’s hope this is a positive sign of a healthy disregard for media-class moaning and Twittermob hysteria."
Which idiot are you referring to?

When the house prices crash the next generation will be able to afford them
