Wasnt he a media invention to sell more papers and hence more propoganda???
I doubt that propaganda was the intention, but selling their paper was. Lobby Lud was invented by the long defunct Westminster Gazette.

It was a seaside town competition created because people on holiday were known to be less likely to buy a newspaper. The £5 then was worth about £290 today, plenty of incentive to buy a paper which was necessary to know how to claim.

Much later several other newspapers did similar in turn.

What does Brexit cost?

Sky News understands the UK's second-biggest steel producer British Steel is seeking an urgent £100m Government loan after Prime Minister Theresa May's failure to pass a Brexit deal left it frozen out of an EU-wide carbon trading scheme

Yes, the Beeb reported it a day earlier. They would normally have got a carbon credit from the EU for the carbon savings they made, which would cover this cost.

Due to the still existing threat of us walking out without a deal, all such payments are frozen at present, leaving British Steel with a big cash flow problem.

So the 1.5 billion civil service bill did not include identifying this and doing something about it?

That shouldn’t pose a problem. The government wasted £1500 million on a shambolic No Deal Brexit plan, and spent a further £1000 million buying the DUP. £100 million to save jobs and an industry is peanuts.

Yep and Germans bombed by mums chip shop. Come on Danidl, whats point of dragging past up. We, ve got enough issues to deal with without trying to apportion blame, guilt and recriminations for past grievances. We must learn from past but move on.
Had we not could we really have started trade and friendship with Japanese, Italians, Germans... The list could go on and on.
Afro Carribeans could quite easily and legitimately complain to this day about slave trade carried out by all Europeans. Where does it stop?
Yes, nobody, believes more than I do in equal opportunities and racial equality. Achieve that for all, forget past and move on, if we dont where does it end. Another war, more attrocities. Then another round of catching up. Equality before revenge Danidl, any day, in my book.
Yes, the way UK dealt with India was appalling, so was how French started Vietnam War. How Dutch colonized areas, how the Poetugese did, the way France treated Algeria... How many more? Americans commiting genocide on native Indians... Spanish in Mexico???
You cant change history or right wrongs already done. Learn, move on and forget.
Or perhaps Mexico, or the race obliterated living in region now called Mexico, should take Spanish to court and prosecute descendants of Conquistadors? Yep, sounds daft, but why put line at 1819? Why not AD 61.
Or perhaps thats the problem. Its exactly how religious fervour and wars start. Pope calling on Christians for attrocities by Muslims centuries before. (later proved to be unfounded) Its all BS Danidl. Move on.
Its the past, none of us are going that way.
I think we are both on the sane page here, but my point is that events in the past cast a long shadow

I’m no fan of the ERG, but it’s this sort of idiotic clownery which makes Labour totally unelectable. Mental cases such as Lammy need to be run out of town, and then we might achieve a credible opposition.

“David Lammy has sparked a row after claiming that comparing the pro-Brexit European Research Group to the Nazis is not “strong enough”.

What a 24 Carat lard headed pillock.

Hmm!
They were indeed words that tend to inflame, but then again it is considered fair comment for Tory politicians to refer to Corbyn as an unreconstructed Marxist isn't it?
And a great deal of truth was revealed about the conservatives and their attitude to Hitler in this interview.

His mistake was to tell the truth, not smart in politics.

That he uses five completely different full names, has belonged to some extremist organisations and has even travelled on someone elses passport, a criminal offence, are not unsubstantiated ill-informed claims.

They are facts, so please stop trying to convince me that he is a reputable person who can be reliably trusted. Given that history he clearly isn't.
.
If you had followed the whole story, you would have understood why he did what he did. Having followed his story from more or less the beginning, I would say that I would trust him a lot more than most politicians. I'd also trust him more than most of the mainstream media reporters. I wouldn't vote for him because of my own politics. I'm not a fanboy, but what I can say is that the guy is highly intelligent, extremely brave, and some of the population need a guy like that to represent them. It's not his politics that interest me, it's the way the establishment has treated him. If they can do that to him, they can do it to anyone. You know that he was jailed for an offence that wasn't actually an offence without a trial, without a jury, without any legal representation and without any right of appeal? Is that British justice? As I keep telling you, if you watch any of his videos, you will soon change your opinion., but you prefer to remain ignorant and bleat out what you hear in the mainstream media. That's your choice.

Ah yes Tom Robinson...2-4-6-8 Motorway, great song. gay chap don't yer know.
He was one of the first that figured out how to manipulate the media to get his own advantage. He was caught buying his own record to get it up the charts - not Motorway (great song), the one after, I think. He's got a lot to answer for.

And dont forget when authorities raped and killed our Queen...AD61 isnt that long ago, on seismic scale, and only a second or 2 in Ephamaris Astronomical... Bet some posters on here can remember it.
Nearly all nations guilty somewhere and some time, but the relevant word is, in the "past".
Good point, well presented. There are very few of them on here, apart from mine.

But we are aren't we, and it is the present ,we just quietly use Drones instead of fighter jets, and keep it out of the media, how many innocents have we killed with them, and how many have died from UK manufactured weapons we have sold to cruel regimes? come off it Zlatan.
War is a bloody business however it's fought. Do you know why wars start?
