Errr.... hasn`t Bercow just said NO to another Meaningless Vote!! ?
Except that she cannot. Bercow has ruled it out.

if she does a deal with JC, her motion is very different in nature, it's not the same deal, so Bercow has no ground to oppose.

At the same time, if Kyle Wilson's amendment gets approved this Wednesday, the ERG will seriously worry.

If the government ask for an extension what can they ask it for...
Short technical extension to get May’s deal concluded....that won’t work Bercow has scuppered May’s deal.
Long extension, more than one year, possibly two.....for May to kick the can down the road, that won’t work, the EU have already rejected it. Or to prepare for a second referendum ,the EU would go for that, but would May have the nerve to announce it.....the ERG would throw their toys out.
She could say that she wants an extension for a General Election, she may lose that and even if she won it is likely to be close so nothing has been achieved.
Could she revoke Art 50,have a short break then reissue the Art 50 again?
This was all caused by the original vote being very close, there was no mandate for Brexit,Parliament is largely Remainers and nobody has come up with any good reasons why we are doing it.
Well done Bercow you have finally caused May to stop can kicking and must now make some sensible decisions.
KudosDave
ER, that means we are really in the Deep Doo doo! TM and sensible decisions? oh Dear oh Dear

Sorry but it is the same deal, just different names on at this end.

I just had a demonstration of how telling the truth doesn't pay.

It's time to renew the car insurance . My wife is on my insurance but hasn't actually driven this car or the one before it, and the Doctor has advised me she should no longer drive, due to Dementia, so I ring the insurer and advise them to remove her name.

Their response is that this will cost me an additional £170 as I lose the discount for an additional driver.
Derisory hardly decribes it, but there it is.
They give less and charge more for it!

Here is the relevant commandment from Erskine May aka the parliamentary bible: "A motion or an amendment which is the same, in substance, as a question which has been decided during a session, may not be brought forward again during that same session."

when there is a will...

MPs can overrule, claim that it's not the same offer or prorogue the current session.

Crap, isn't it. Partner will almost certainly never drive my car. But it is better for her to be insured.

No possibility of insuring someone else, is there? Random stranger or neighbour? Or would that not produce a "discount".

Amazing the attitude of our resident bike sellers when they`ve admitted they could be pocketing £150+ per bike sold...........but Hey No, let the EU screw us with their anti-dumping tarrifs!

Two short planks come to mind.
Heres a thought. Go and read the wiki about anti dumping. Then take a long jard look at the past ten years. That time your infant didnt die from toxic formula,as 30k did in china. Or when you fell asleep and rolled the volvo at 80mph and crawled out largely intact because it was not a jiangnan. Anti dumping protect standards and you as much as anyone else.

Definitely where you are concerned, you really have no idea of what tariffs are for have you?
I explained what happened historically with American steel but you still are no wiser.
And we lost ours due to the conservatives opposing the EU applying tariffs to Chinese steel
As you say "Two short planks come to mind" applies to you.

half of that money pays for labour in assembling Chinese bikes in Southend on Sea. If we brexit with no deal, I will have to cut the price to be competitive and stop assembling bikes in Southend on Sea because my competitors will buy bikes assembled in China.

Guess who will be losing out?

yes, for a short period in time, maybe 3-5 months before my competitors bring in new shipments assembled in China.
Sooner rather later, I will be forced to do same, buy from China fully assembled and cut back on my wage bills.
In fact, the next day the tariff is official, I'll have to tell the factory to assemble my bikes.

Stick to shouting and bluster, things you understand.
The explanation I gave was clear enough, see if a local adult near you can explain in terms you understand.
