And the thread has a new two year lease of life..This will i think mean tm will ask for a long long extension and get it
More than that, the two years will only be to reach leaving. And the thread has a new two year lease of life..
...with only EIGHT working days to go............... interesting!Unless substantially different .….. this should be a bit of pressure on the "Backstop"
I think not.. The choice now is crash out or revoke. While this increases the chance of a crash out very considerably, which is not a result I desire, I am happy that at least one person in the HoC can make a principled decision. I suspect he was swayed by the logical speech of that MP a few days ago,who argued precedenceThis will i think mean tm will ask for a long long extension and get it
The backstop was never the issue. Anyone who thinks it was is fudging the issue. What chance now of an emergency motion to revoke?.Unless substantially different .….. this should be a bit of pressure on the "Backstop"
Won't MPs wait to see if the EU will grant some sort of extension, which I suspect they will. Only in the event of the EU not providing an extension would they consider an emergency motion to revoke. At least that how I imagine it would work, but I'm no expert on these types of procedures. The backstop was never the issue. Anyone who thinks it was is fudging the issue. Kwarteng, junior brexit minister, says they will ask for extension. But who knows what happens next, you may be right. Then it could be an interesting experiment in lower quality and quantity of life.I think not.. The choice now is crash out or revoke. Yes be careful what you wish for.. you might get it....with only EIGHT working days to go............... interesting!
But remember the EU only prepared to offer one,to fill technical conditions. It they believe,as I do,that stopping Brexit is in both UK and EUs interest. Why would they?.Won't MPs wait to see if the EU will grant some sort of extension, which I suspect they will. I imagine they don't want to take the risk for being blamed for creating a WTO Brexit if they refuse an extension and we then leave on the 29th.But remember the EU only prepared to offer one,to fill technical conditions. Errr.... hasn`t Bercow just said NO to another Meaningless Vote!! ?She can now tell them to put up or shut up and vote for her deal
How can they vote for her deal? Hasn’t hat option now been removed. She can now tell them to put up or shut up and vote for her deal because the alternative is Corbyn's deal and confirmatory vote.
Except that she cannot. Bercow has ruled it out.Bercow does TM a favour. She must be fed up by now with the ERG's and DUP's tactics of blackmail. She can now tell them to put up or shut up and vote for her deal because the alternative is Corbyn's deal and confirmatory vote.
