If things are delayed long enough (a year or two) for us to have Euro elections - what will happen with Farage now he's not with UKIP - presume if he wanted to continue to be a continuing PIA in EU parliament he'd have to stand as an independant / or was he thinking of forming new party or sumfink.

My son,who is not political, but has Financial services experience and qualifications, has flagged up a potential illegal activity in which Mr Farage may well be linked.
It is well known that currency transactions about the time of the referendum enriched some people ..in fact the amount of money which changed hands was enormous.. Now Mr Farage is entitled to deal in money transactions ,he is also entitled to commission polling surveys and to read the results of these. However it is alleged that knowing the results of the poll, and knowing that the Brexit would be passed, He then made public statements to the contrary, which would have the effect of altering the short term exchange rates..and this can be viewed as potentially criminal insider dealing...making transactions having insider knowledge.

I heard about this quite a while ago, nothing came of it but people were aware of what might have been going on. I imagine if there was something that could stand up in court on this then action would have already been taken. I would not be surprised if he did this, but proving it might be extremely difficult.

The European Union
Theresa May has asked the EU for an extension to the end of June.

Earlier comment in Europe suggests they will grant this, albeit grudgingly.
.
The new EU parliament sits on the second of July.

Not at all sure. The language I am hearing basically says. Mrs May come with a real plan on Thursday or no dice.

They have no other choice.
Of course they (we ) do..
For countries like Poland, which would not be invested in the UK market, they can make a principled point without it costing them anything. They can say very simply .. your mess ,you fix it. Greece can say we want the Elgin Marbles back ...
The type of comment that Fingers has just made and which I heard by British commentators this morning on RTE radio ,basically expecting with a sense of entitlement of the EU "of course giving an extension " will play very badly in mainland Europe.
Ireland has already passed all the necessary legislation to handle the Crash out Brexit and is waiting Presidential signature.
We don't want it this Crash out , but nor do we want this cat and mouse game to play out for months or years.

Lol!

Page after page of Farage.

But no one really cares about him....

You guys!
You really don't get it do you? he has become a comic figure, do you understand that now?
He is no threat, just a source of sad humour, and a wish that he could be made to answer for his crimes.
So what are you laughing at?
You don't harbour some respect for this reprobate do you? surely nobody is that gullible?

they may make her sweat a bit before agreeing.
I have a feeling that 3 month extension won't hack it.

History will look back in anger at Corbyn for failing to stand up for the right for people who oppose Brexit on the basis that it is proven to be a dangerous and damaging mistake.
It is astonishing that he hasn't realised that when things go badly wrong after Brexit, he has effectively sunk the Labour party by choosing to share the blame for the Tory Brexit madness.
If anyone should face a vote of no confidence, he is a bigger candidate than TM

She has asked for that length of extension at least, so they may choose to make it longer, which will involve us in the European Parliamentary elections.

However I think they are just as fed up as us with this process and hate a No Deal prospect as much as our MPs do, so I see that as keeping the extension short.

Better not blow up the novelty Brexit day celebratory helium balloons just yet then, they will be soggy and sad by then!
I wonder how far the Chinese ship carrying all the Trinkets, union jack flags, badges and Goo ga's has got and whether the Captain's had orders to stand by to turn back?

I agree Corbyn has been a massive disappointment over Brexit and other things. I don't know how true it is but I have heard he never really wanted to become leader but was talked into it.

Also that he has two very left wing advisors who are the actual brains behind him and they basically tell him what to do because he is not smart enough to work out what to do himself. I've usually voted Labour in the past but I really don't know if I can vote for them while he is in charge and the party has been taken over by the far left.

Having said that I couldn't vote for a Conservative part that will shortly have a hard right wing leader either, so I have no idea who to vote for when we have another GE. What a mess this country is in.

Yeah. But they will though.

They have no choice

There was a Labour MP on the BBCs lunch time Politics Show today saying that this might not be the case. There may be a way to have a longer than 3 month extension and for our existing MEPs to stay in place for a bit longer than they should. This has never been done before but then again no country has ever left the EU before so its difficult to know.

Some Leave Propaganda doesn't keep well, does it? but it convinced a lot of people at the time despite being lies

Which one of the leave voters that sometimes come on here is going to deny they were mislead?
