he wasn't. His brief was to prepare the UK for a possibility of hard brexit. Even so, he did his job badly like all the 'purist' brexiteers in TM's crew except Gove. Why on earth was this dunderhead ever given the job of negotiating with the EU?
In fact I think I prefer Irish Cheddar, has a bit more taste to it...Interesting part of the reader comment was this
"There are many things from the UK that EU countries need."
He seems to lack common sense on this point
Prices slashed and an even worse obesity epidemic?I am intrigued to see what will happen to the mountains of frozen food in the event of a trouble free passage of the current May proposals.
Unless the population at large feels secure, it could be that all the stored food will be bought without any price slashing - possibly even increasing prices. Belief in that possibility, even likelihood, might be why the food industry is willing to stump up for this stockpiling.Prices slashed and an even worse obesity epidemic?
.
you could have said that some people don't think that we'll be worse off leaving.I was a Remainer and am still a Remainer . I could never see how Brexit could be a social nor economic success, but accepted it as a vote against austerity by the forgotten population.

"Nigel Farage's near monthly appearances on state-owned Russia Today have come under scrutiny after his expression of admiration for Vladimir Putinthis week.
In one of his 17 appearances on the channel seen by the Guardian and transmitted since December 2010, he claims Europe is governed not by elected democracies but instead "by the worst people we have seen in Europe since 1945".
The Ukip leader has appeared so frequently that he is cited in literature for the TV station Russia Today as one of their special and "endlessly quotable" British guests. "He has been known far longer to the RT audience than most of the British electorate," Russia Today claims."
So are you backing down that Delaney was "totally independent" from RT.com / Russia Today?I’m the opposite of a fan to Delaney but there was a recent story in the guardian.
Make your own mind up,

Delaney "I was, by then, aware of RT’s reputation. The channel is part-funded by the Russian state"
Such is the power of the media! George Orwell and many, many others (not least in pre-war Germany) recognised the dangers of the press, as it was around 70-80 years ago, being one and the same as the ruling party. The Ukip leader has appeared so frequently that he is cited in literature for the TV station Russia Today as one of their special and "endlessly quotable" British guests. "He has been known far longer to the RT audience than most of the British electorate," Russia Today claims.
This government has demonstrated appalling dereliction of duty, most particularly in its shameful handling of the NHS. Never can I remember any government so patently unfit for purpose. So much for "Controlling immigration" it only applies to the EU, not everywhere else. I was under the impression that the Brexiteers actually wanted "British jobs for British people"
So what have they actually got for their vote? The exact opposite of what they wanted of course.
