Leave-supporting ministers Andrea Leadsom, Penny Mordaunt, and Esther McVey are believed to be ready to quit the Cabinet if May agrees to a backstop which keeps the UK in the customs union indefinitely.
Mmmm, three women threatening to walk out over a decision by another woman.

How many times have I heard it said by women that if women ruled the world there wouldn't be any wars.

What has all that to do about cycling
Absolutely nothing at all to do with cycling. That’s why it’s posted in The Charging Post section of the site. A section dedicated non-cycling related matters. Read the site etiquette & weep

Women are pre-programmed to disagree with each other, fall out and dig their heals in even when they know they are wrong, rather than concede to another woman. It’s a huge problem.

Perhaps you can point me in the right direction here, how do they differ from the Brexit voters (with the exception of your goodself I hasten to add!);)

Regarding the Irish Border “problem” I can’t see there ever being a hard border between Northern & Southern Ireland. Whichever deal is reached, WTO, Customs Union or Single Market, no one will ever impose a hard border. No one, except the EU are demanding it.

Say for example, no deal is reach and the U.K. exit the EU on WTO terms. Who is going to enforce an Irish border? No one, so why are we bickering over it with the EU?

The whole situation is a complete shambles.
If No Deal....the EU will want a hard border, otherwise Northern Ireland to Ireland will become the smuggling route of Europe....imagine if N.I. has to pay average 35% tariff on food and across the border is one of the largest producers of food often imported at nil tariff...the Irish have always had a history of smuggling....it will be the EU that will insist on a border.

I think that some, but not all, Brexit voters don’t think they were / are wrong. They firmly believe that Brexit is the right decision for them.

Brexit won’t suit everyone, but it will benefit some. Both leave and remain have lost all credibility. Leave have lost credibility by making overly optimistic promises which they knew were false, and remain by trying to scare voters. Both approaches are infantile, but I expected nothing more from our incompetency sodden MPs and ministers.

Now that both side have shown what they are made of, in terms of orchestrating our withdrawal from the EU, we the public have more clarity regarding our future outside the EU. I wouldn’t object to a second referendum. I think that would turn up Remain, but devision in the country will last a long time.

I know the EU will want a hard border, that’s a given for all the points you make. Ireland is bitterly opposed to it and so is NI. How do the EU get around that one if both refuse to host a hard border?

Why has this matter not been dealt with? I believe heads should roll at Met Police HQ and the matter of the evidence in question should be fast-tracked to provide some justice now - before the "Brexit' charade goes any further.

This is what's known as taking back control, even to the extent of preventing the law from due process.
More of what's to come after Brexit

Unfortunately the officer leading the investigation is locked inside his car, unable to get out.

The mistake the remain side made was that they were just as clueless as the leave side, had what is now public knowledge been available back then Brexit would have sunk like a stone.

It has been more damaging that many of the wars we have had and totally guilty of giving encouragement and publicity , even justification, to the worst elements in our society who now imagine themselves to be "Patriots"
And the worst among them have been the right wing media that has taken every opportunity to fan the flames, insult the EU, and even our own judges.

Get the Hungarians to man the border. They've sealed their own entire border very effectively against the most determined of migrants, showing it can be done with enough resolve.
.
Joking aside, the difference is that the Hungarians wanted an impermeable border to prevent migrants entering the country. Ireland is different, the countries either side of this EU proposed hard border don’t want it, have no desire to establish it and will refuse to cooperate in way administering it. This stance, over a hard border, won’t change regardless of whether we stay in or out of the single market or customs union.
