I totally agree.

Tom
So do I...but what about Kim Jong Un with his big missiles...and Assad poisoning folk...oh and ISIS...
But I do agree...but are those problems just to be left for others to sort. ( Especially the ones we started, or helped start ie ISIS ???)
Can we really just leave it alone? Is that the humane thing to do ? Walk away? Ignore it ? Its not my business?

Tom
Much as I loved Bill Shankly and every thing he said could he have run for PM. He firmly believed football more important than life or death. Would he get elected to office on that mantra.
Edit
I,ve had time to reflect on this and changed my mind..Shankly would have been a fantastic PM and had he stood would have had a landslide victory ,deservedly so aswell. He got Keegan to play for Liverpool for £50 a week. Bought him for £33,000. Wilson couldn't have done that.

You spelt it wrong OG. I said capitulist not capitulis. I realise that this is not a correct word, but I was trying to say to capitulate. All a bit academic, but it doesn't really matter.

Yes. we should just walk away. We shouldn't have triggered the trouble in the first place, but having done so, to mend our ways means walking away, while telling the world we are doing so and why.

The alternative is to continue being the source of the trouble.

I,m fairly sure we are responsible for many problems, we are still seeing repercussions from Blair days, but not all the worlds wrongs are our fault.
Chamblerlain walked away with a bit of paper for Hitler, I wonder how many lives could have been saved had we not tried appeasement. Yes, there are times to walk away, there are others when its best to apologise and take blame. History has shown us there is a time to dral with things. Unfortunately that snake Blair has made it impossible for us to actually decide when that is the case. What of Kim Jong now ? Leave it for Chinese or Trump ?? ( not that we can do much anyway!)
Anyways, busy day tomorrow.

Brexit is capitulation, or didn't you realise that? it is giving membership of the EU up because we have failed to totally dominate it.

And just what do you expect we will do? we do not have the means to be the worlds policeman, nor responsibility to interfere, all we ever do is make matters worse and you know it.

So this is what you would have us do is it?
"
More than 350 civilians been killed in US-led strikes against Isis, say Pentagon
The count is far below that of outside monitoring groups

And the Americans have far more advanced "smart weapons" alleged to prevent this happening.
You know where you can put interventionism!

Ofcourse not but OG just Google "What do ISIS want ?"

Read a few of the articles . Its quite frightening. Had they the means the current deaths of innocents would be dwarfed.

This excerpt from a demonstration of Britain's military might - the UK equivalent of the kind of parades we see beamed to us from N Korea or Moscow - should ease any fears people may have about our ability to defend our country from attack.

I'm delighted to be able to show this piece as I know many will be reassured after watching it.

So that makes it all right to interfere, kill people in droves and fill the roads and seas with refugees?
No it doesn't your logic simply doesn't work, does it?
Or would you rather Nuke the lot of them?
Not our Business to kill people for "Their own good"

Now we are heading into Brexit we need to understand we are no longer a nation of the first rank and the arbiter of world affairs that stands in judgement of others.
That is something we never will be again Brexit or not, we need start to realistically concentrate on running this country, not others.

We didn't leave the EU because we had a great level of skill in influencing other countries did we?
We left because we had failed miserably to get our own way ALL THE TIME.

If we can't manage that in a Parliament we have no chance of doing so against determined opposition,
better it you "patriots" who voted for Brexit and broke the status quo stop preaching that we make war on other nations, to "solve" their problems, gave up messing about in other countries making a quick buck and came back home to do a job of work and fix the mess you've made.

As normal OG you read into the likes of which have not been said. No , we aren't world police and no its obviously wrong to kill any innocent, its probably wrong to kill ISIS members strictly speaking...but its so easy to pass judgement . What is your suggestion to prevent ISIS taking over massive regions , putting at current estimates 10 million folk under their laws with the intent of destroying Western culture..Just read the stuff OG..its not propoganda written by Daily Mail.. Would ISIS use Sarin,VX, nuclear bombs against west ? We all know answer to that..and your solution is what exactly? Leave them alone ??

Was the voice over by a ventriloquist who'd had a tracheotomy? it was difficult to keep up with the dazzling invective.

EDL must be proud to have such towering intellects among their members, now that the Ty Phoo chimps are banned from advertising in commercials.

Exactly..... have you got that? otherwise we had better start preparing to invade Russia, North Korea and China and several other states too.

Equally foul treatment of Civilians goes on there, but we don't mention that as they are too powerful to face up to, but we think we can squash Isis like a bug, so that makes it right?

We can't even manage to govern the people of this country wisely and fairly so it would be a good idea to sort this country out before any others.

Remember hearing about the 'trickle-down effect'? It's a phrase used by tories to describe to the unwashed masses how voting for them ensures a share of the riches presented to the upper class employers and land-owners, through the toil and endeavour of the working class.

Here is a full, even though very concise, explanation of how it really works:

The European Union
"Among measures affected was 2.5 billion euros for bolstering EU frontier controls to deal with the migrant crisis in the Mediterranean and 1.4 billion euros to tackle the "root causes" of migration in poor nations -- a policy Britain strongly backs.

Further spending on youth employment initiatives, student exchanges and scientific research were also hit."

What more can I say...

"well I wouldn't scrap it but I,d never ever give command to use it" .Well actually Jeremy, you just scrapped it..totally and utterly fecked it. Its now totally and utterly useless. Scrap. Junk. He simply can not become PM being so naive. Never , ever..ever.
Actually his statement means he is in fact the only one with an operating brain, for only a jibbering imbecile would imagine that Trident does anything more than make us a first strike target. and keep it as a threat.

I suspect that the boats are only armed with dummy weapons anyway to avoid an accidental discharge causing WW3
