Great British Brexit Bonanza: White paper pledges 14 WEEKS paid holiday after EU exit
Lastminute.com, perhaps they shouldn't to stay up all night like Trump tweeting absurdities.... unless it's is part of the plan to have a way to pick crops (free holidays in Lincs!), and create a volunteer pool of labour to deploy to prop up the NHS.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-white-paper-embarassing-error-chart-14-weeks-holiday-a7559561.html

The apparent slapdash approach to drawing up the paper – which was announced just last week by the Prime Minister – will give force to claims that it simply a longwinded restatement of the Prime Minister’s speech last month.

Furthermore the document's creation date is time-stamped as "Feb 2nd. 04:26am" – suggesting it was an all-night last-minute job.

Leavers seem to be taking some while to realise they are being stitched up by Brexit, they constantly tell us that they knew exactly what they were voting for so they can hardly moan when things start to get tough.
KudosDave
You are only stitched up if you are in the dark.
If you are rich and know somebody who is in the wotsit 'bridge', you could do very well out of brexit.

What is worrying is that this growth is probably fuelled by credit and diminishing savings.
Indeed, and made even worse by people spending savings and pension funds, since low interest rates and rising inflation means it's better spent now than lose value in future.

The combination of huge personal debt and very low savings for investment is a recipe for decline. To have this combination on the approach to Brexit is very foolish.

We've been following that path for quite sometime.
At least since Blair.

The fact they are being revised isn't a problem to my statement, the fact that growth is better than expected whilst we're still in the EU doesn't effect things does it? The problem is people saying Brexit is a success, look at the growth. Which is nonsense any way you look at it.

I don't know about you but I'm not arrogant enough to suggest I know more about things than the Governor of the Bank of England... you seem to think he's a clown. I wonder how bad things would be if we actually had a clown in his job?

Not going to argue with that... but did the "JAMS" vote for increased interest rates on their loans and mortgages... I think not.

Also most business is run on finance, increased costs, means increased costs to consumers on all products, which will push inflation up again.
I wasn't trying to claim the revised growth forecast as BREXIT success. I was using the figure as an illustration of yet more colossal inaccuracy.

I wonder if a circus clown could actually equal or better Mark Carney's performance? Would we really be any worse off with a clown in charge?

I can't face going back to find your post about being from S.Yorkshire area, but I thought this might interest you so I've quoted a random post above so you get notified.

Brinsworth & Catcliffe (Rotherham) result:
LDEM: 66.0% (+50.4)
LAB: 17.1% (-26.2)
UKIP: 12.8% (-16.4)
CON: 3.0% (-8.8)
GRN: 1.0% (+1.0)

This was last nights election results, so the first time the people of Rotherham have had a chance to vote since the referendum.

This area was 67.9% "leave" and now they've suddenly voted in a pro EU party with a 50.4% increase in their vote share, and UKIP lost 16.4%

I wonder what is going on here then.....
South Yorkshire and Rotherham especially is still suffering repercussions from the child abuse scandal , part of which was manifested in area being targetted by EDL. There have been backlashes against both.
Brexit came along whilst this situation was still ongoing...so seeing swings one way and back I,d say was indicative of areas recent history, but who knows.

I like Mark Carney.

To his defense, the pre-referendum Treasury forecast (23-May-2016) from my point of view is substantially correct.

In their scenario, Sterling was devalued against the Dollar at 12%, inflation forecast at 2.3%, now 19% devaluation, 2.8% inflation.
That accounts for the revised up 0.5% on growth.
You should note that the market expected slightly better growth than 2%, the announcement is met with Sterling 0.5% drop in value.

You can give me a Like for my little bird if you want to.
.
It looks like a Goldcrest to me but I'm not entirely certain. Regardless, I like all birds and visit nature reserves quite frequently.

I have noted a bit of a resurgence lately in the local starling population but the most common bird in my garden over the last three months is the Dunnock, which was subject to an RSPB warning not long ago due to a huge reduction in numbers. An insect eater, it has no need to compete with the tits and other seed-eaters on my feeders.

At least birds aren't subject to border controls enjoying as much freedom of movement as they need to ensure their survival and produce young.

Apparently, this man man began to ask his question out of turn but instead of dealing with the man diplomatically, this is how the situation was handled by Trump and his bully boys!

What's next? Retraction of the first amendment, imprisonment of journalists and political opponents, pseudo-scientific racism theories, eugenics, registers, deportations and a final solution?

This is the behaviour of the 'Leader of the Free world'. Incredibly though, he is using the same techniques which brought the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei into power aided and abetted by the Sturmabteilung.

The wave of neo-nationalism crests once again, this time in America under Führer Trump, and the British government has adopted the same attitude towards a fascist leader in 2017 as their forebears did towards a German one in the 1930s.

All the warning signs are there!

I think this is an issue concerning protocols and ettiequte when asking questions. There has clearly been a pre-arranged format or order for the question phase. Whether that is right is open to debate, but choreographed press briefings are not unique to Donald Trump. The journalist was clearly trying to jump ahead of the question order.

The, "get out of my country" comment isn't acceptable and the person saying it needs taking to task. That aside, it's a storm in a tea cup. Move along please, nothing to see here.

You are beginning to sound like a Daily Mail reporter, twisting everything and diminishing the situation, which is that a man has been elected to the most dangerous position in the Free world, and he's a loose cannon.
He cannot even handle a heckler without resorting to physical coercion by his goons.

"Move along please, nothing to see here"
By all means feel free to make yourself look foolish but spare us the juvenile disparaging comments.

When the questioner replied 'I am an American citizen', the reply to him was 'whatever'.
Clearly, Trump's men did not see the questioner as a worthy citizen.
That's what I find unacceptable.

It's a non story OG. Man asks question out of turn. Man asked to wait his turn. Man continues to ask question out of turn. Man is removed from press briefing.

Once upon a time nothing happened, is not news.
