That's no excuse for Gina and co using it as an opportunity to offer their own indoctrination, which is precisely what both statements amounted to..
All she did as she's ever done is emphasize our status as a parliamentary democracy. That is not indoctrination. She or anyone else are precisely right to remind of that at every opportunity, since we have executives who are only too willing to sideline parliament whenever it suits them, as in this case and the appeal.

that is why I thought Mr Corbyn's response is wrong. Labour should oppose A50 first, wait for white paper discussion to complete then vote again. An important decision such as A50 needs more time.
It should also a free vote, like the one that started the referendum.
As a remainer I agree with that..

Well, La La Land is all the rage at the moment! :D
.
The Pound recovers a bit, at a steady pace since last week. Partly down to the market digesting Mr Trump's way of doing things and partly Mrs May's approach to brexit. $1.26 currently. That means inflation could be about 2.5% for the next two years.

No, I disagree, I,d have had much more respect had she come on and simply thanked everyone. She stated the obvious and tried to rub salt in. She made herself loom petty and untruthful. She claimed her motives were " democratic process" BS I,m afraid. She simply wants to remain, she should admit as much.

That may or may not be her motives, we can only guess.

The party that's most pro-EU is making the most progress local by-elections in areas that voted LEAVE

This is votes since the referendum.... I wonder why this could be?
It's because the true reason they voted leave was dissatisfaction, expressed in the only way available at the time, a vote against something.

Now they've been able to be more selective and vote against the current government and main opposition parties by voting Lib Dem.

Huhhh....you were lucky...we had lessons in an old shoe box...
But OG WTF has your depraved ,sorry deprived, upbringing got to do with it ??
Nothing that you would understand, granted, and once again you have lapsed haven't you?
With absolutely no knowledge of what happened in Hull during the war years, all you can come out with is "depraved, sorry deprived?

Here's a quote appropriate to your postings

“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.”
Groucho Marx

One way to find out how much the EU is worth is to see it from the outside, don't you agree?
By the time brexit happens, inflation would have come down a fair bit, the economic risks would have been reduced.
I know 'Woosh' were based in Southend but it seems the HQ must have moved to the planet Zog at some point, judging by the strange posts now arriving in this thread. Tell me you're 'avin a bubble'.

You are destroying our armistace treaty OG.Resorting to insults after I pointed out the utter irrelevance of your " we had it hard in Hull"..( Ps I quite like Hull, worked there for 9 years...Its no worse or better than any other industrial town in England and had no harder time in past than same.
Anyhow..
back to topic.
The debate in parliament might just point out to all the unconvinced remainers there is a more optimistic view of brexit than generally percieved( especially on here) Lets hope so. Whichever way MP's vote the responsibility will be on their heads, lets hope that simple fact negates the nastiness between the two views.

Don't let that bother you, no less a genius than Einstein believed if you can't express something in simple terms, then you didn't understand it very well.

Having a fancy education, is a good start, but as Soichiro Honda once said
"If you haven't got a good education, you have to learn how to think"

It's continuing the educational process by your own efforts throughout your life that matters, not being sure you already know everything once formal education is over.

You express yourself every bit as well as everyone else, my friend, better still you don't seek to baffle and confuse.

Well since I stayed in formal education until I was 27 and hung around a college for another 35 years you could say I was a slow learner
