Big companies can use the opportunity to put up prices,not all justifiable but 'Brexit means Brexit and we are going to make a success of it' .....Unilever is putting up the prices of some popular brands,Marmite,Dove etc by 10%,Premier foods,Oxo,Hovis are increasing by 14%.

Now this is where people need to sit up and take note of how these greedy opportunist companies are exploiting the situation. price rises of this magnitude are not justified. The production costs have not increased by 10 - 14%, in fact you could argue that the cost of producing something like Marmite has not increased at all. Marmite uses a base ingredient (yeast) from the brewing industry, some of which is sourced from within the UK. A 10% increase is simply not justified and for once I agree with Tesco's policy.

People should be taking a few seconds each time they go shopping to check that they have nothing in their basket which is produced by Uni-lever. This company and other all the others leaching off BREXIT need to be punished for their treachery.

Had the thought not occurred to you that Unilever are applying the cost for non product specific operating cost increases, or are we going to witness ongoing witch hunts every time a price goes up by the pro brexit thought police?
No doubt there will be an element of profiteering done by company's, but you maintained that " the goodness would flow "

A 10 to 14% price increase is unjustifiable. People have a choice, accept it or don't accept it.

Throughout my flying career I have always faced unexpected, unwanted and seemingly impassable obstacles. My outlook is to decide on the outcome I want and identify the positives in the situation. Then to exploit / capitalise on those in order to achieve the outcome. I think this approach has kept me alive in some difficult circumstances. Dwelling on the negatives and becoming fixated & obsessed usually results in a firery hole in the ground.

Other people are quite happy to bend over, touch their toes and take it up the arse. I guess that is what separates BREXITERS from Remainers. Brexit is generally more optimistic.

however the official opposition, aka the pound, is seems to be the only voice that can reach brexit consciousness. and my hunch is it will raise its voice, a lot. this little price increase is but the beginning. and no amount of anger or insults will make any difference to it. brexit voters have for some reason a bad case of delusional disorder, grandiose type - as if the UK and its customers have control over the world and multinationals and decree trade arrangements with it.

One would think they'd be a gainer from the changes after Brexit, and for the sugar cane imports that's certainly true. However he revealed that they buy some 5000 products from overseas, much from within the EU, components, packaging etc., all to support their production in various ways. Those costs were all increasing.

Once again it showed the serious deficiencies in our ability to supply ourselves with quite basic products.
