It was the BBC News website, but don't let that spoil your day.

Personally, I'm looking forward to tucking into a succulent kangaroo burger whilst swigging a tin Fosters behind the wheel of a big V8 Holden. What is there not to like?
No doubt it was, and mine was from the Sunday Express, the Holden and the Fosters sound good, however!
Just a query what happened to us being unable to negotiate our own trade deals as we are still a member of the EU at this point? have we reneged on our legal obligations already?
That should help get us kicked out on our ear with any luck.
Except of course we have only had promises so far, haven't we? and we know what they are worth, don't we?

But the article is in the Guardian. You shouldn't read that paper, it will rot your mind.
Which do you recommend then?
The Times: for people who think they run the country
The Telegraph: for people who think they should run the country.
The Express and Daily Mail ; who think Murdoch rules the country
The Daily Star and Sun: who don't care who runs the country so long as she has big boobs?
or perhaps Muck Spreading Weekly?:D
On second thoughts they will be up in arms about losing the EU Farming subsidy

Once again I m Dazzled I say, Dazzled by your choice I shall rush out and buy a copy
And here is my first and positive reaction
  1. Plenty of boobs to leer at
  2. Sensational headlines
For instance there's good news!
"
SAS braced for Nice ‘copy-cats’: forces hit streets in top-secret operation
SAS troops are on the streets of Britain in an operation to counter the threat of a Nice “copycat” attack.

Unfortunately there's this proviso
A senior source said: “Our people will be in the background, drinking coffee at a shopping mall and quietly watching the crowds.

"Shoppers will not even be aware we are there. But the threat is very high and could come from anywhere.”

The female SAS officers are from a special unit called HumInt.
They never wear uniform and are based an at old RAF station in the Midlands.

A second SAS unit has been put on standby in case of an attack and moved to a base near London.

It is ready to respond to a wide range of incidents including hostage situations and gas attacks.

It will only go into action if the Home Office approves its deployment following a request from the police for armed assistance.

Remember the Phone advert where Custer is at the Battle of the Little Big Horn and his phone rings?
"It's reinforcements!" he cries so the Indians turn to run.
"And they'll be here on Wednesday!"
The indians return to the attack.
What use is a so called defence that requires a delay like that before it can react?
So far I am impressed, they certainly managed to tell the truth awful though it is, to my surprise.
Good advice from you Tillson as usual!
ps: how does this SAS thing help the few millions of us that don't live in London?
Do they arrive with the Ambulances? or the Road sweepers?

Peter Hargreaves, top donor to leave.eu, explains his motivation:
“It would be the biggest stimulus to get our butts in gear that we have ever had … We will get out there and we will be become incredibly successful because we will be insecure again. And insecurity is fantastic.”

so he and a few other billionaire donors to leave, broke the eggs. who is going to make an omelette?

Except of course for the lower classes who will be desperate for work of any sort no matter the conditions and pay, to avoid starvation.
Once again a win for the Elite and a big time loss for the rest.

Here is another sign that the rot is setting in already
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jul/16/science-research-hit-by-brexit
Get over it indeed! that would be a damn silly thing to do.
I have friends at Birmingham university, their medical research dept has achieved some useful advances in medical . They are very active in trying to invent new antibiotics, which are so vital now that bugs are developing that are resistant to current medicine.
If we Brexit the EU ,the EU is threatening to stop those grants which are given to the university, this will restrict the ability for the university to develop new medicines.
So those who say Brexit doesn't affect me,I don't care about the pound,I don't care about recession,I am retired I don't care about loss of jobs, well maybe you will care when you go to hospital and they say they don't have drugs to treat your illness. There are many hidden downsides to Brexit that Boris didn't tell us prior to the referendum.
On the Andrew Marr show,it was said that 16% of the EU research budget comes to the UK.....Tillson,can you imagine that the UK government post Brexit would make up this money after we have left the EU?

after watching Marr's show today, Scotland seems to be promised a veto and Labour is definitely not keen on brexit. I am beginning to believe that brexit is not going to happen. If the market also does not believe brexit is probable, the Pound should rise next week.
to borrow leavers' logic, the experts were wrong before, why should anyone one believe they are right now? one could be tempted to say brexiters did not come up with a plan before the referendum, why should anyone believe they will come up with one now?
I wonder how long before David Davis throws in the towell and returns to the backbench. March 2017? maybe sooner.

i am working on selling compressors into Europe,at the moment that is easy we are signatory to the EU standard which allows all 28 member states to sell to all, under the same standard.
I have had cause to look at the British standard, this standard is not a qualifying standard into the EU. It has taken a team at the EU six years to agree harmonisation of the various standards.
If we leave the EU,we would not necessarily be able to sell our compressors into the EU only into the UK and ironically the products would all have to be retested to the old UK standard.
This applies to dozens of products which have been harmonised throughout the EU,this work has been done over many years. If the EU refuse us access to their standard we wont be able to sell a very wide range of products from the UK into Europe.
On a daily basis problems of Brexit are becoming aware, these problems were not visible prior to the referendum.

Nicola Sturgeon said that she is now in a powerful position,Scotland has voted overwhelmingly to stay in the EU,she realises that she has an effective veto to the UK leaving the EU,threatening to take Scotland independent if the UK attempts to trigger Article 50.
She also mentioned that the SNP and Labour would vote against Article 50, by that I suppose she means she would vote against the 1972 ECA act, with the inevitable Tory anti Brexit rebels and Northern Ireland the maths don't allow parliament to repeal the Act.
Owen Smith, the new Labour leader candidate also realised that Labour could appeal to the 16 million who voted Remain, that would be dangerous to Theresa May in the event of another General Election.
David Davis is going to be a busy man trying to reconcile this lot.
Are the leavers still confident it's a done deal? The people may have spoken but parliament haven't yet,I don't think they are going to get the opportunity, May is too bright to take the risk.

David Davis announced today that migrants would be restricted as we close Brexit deadline, tough talking looks like the three Brexiteers are serious about Brexit, then he undermines any Brexit intentions when he admits this cannot be done whilst we are part of the EU.
In other words a meaningless statement but designed to keep the leavers happy .
Are the leavers happy, the forum seems to be dominated by remainers.

Yes, I'm happy as the clock ticks down to the point that we exit the EU.

are you sure? your leaders still don't have a date nor a plan. It seems that every time David Davis says something, the media immediately adds that he's wrong and that thing can't be done.

tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock,tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock

It's coming.

Anything can be done. In the main the lawyers & newspaper types who pedal this rubbish are just suits full of fook all. When push comes to shove, they are simply sent home to wet the bed.

PM May:
“I’ve already said I won’t be triggering Article 50 until I think we have a United Kingdom approach and objectives for the negotiations.
I think it’s important we establish that before we trigger Article 50.”
it seems that May sets the bar quite high. I honestly can't see David Davis can arrive at a plan that will keep the UK together on this.

don't hold your breath.

Just a little reminder, if the Scots leave us, the United Kingdom will no longer be politically united with them, but will still be united as a Regal Kingdom, since they intend to retain the crown.

What will disappear is Great Britain, since the word Great was only added when Scotland joined the Union to reflect the larger area. Without Scotland, England and Wales are Britain, and England, Wales and Northern Ireland are the United Kingdom.

The French would have to learn not to say Grande Bretagne and the Germans not to say Grossbritannien if Scotland leaves.

I don't think the Scots will leave. It's just the small Scottish woman opening her cake hole, as usual, and letting the highland breeze rattle her tongue about.

I think most of the Scottish people are sensible enough to understand they belong in Great Britain. The loudest voices for independence seem to be the likes of Sir James Bond.
