And if the "Will of the people" is now different?
Are we going to ask them again?
that's what the pollsters try to find out. So far, it's still somewhere in the 52-48.

Or was it a case of Caveat Emptor?
it has always been the case of caveat emptor. Cameron was warned many times before offering the EU referendum and again before settling the date.
BTW, even if Cameron had set a threshold, the 'mandate' or 'will of the people' argument would have been the same.
The problem for the UK is it has to make a poor choice between BJ and JC. Both are excellent campaigners and both have a very liberal attitude to fact checking.

The chief liar, aka Theresa May, had this to say back in April:

19437553_1491264537561344_6640578190676573086_n.png

Has she thanked them? Has she decided, for example, to pay higher salaries to all these people who serve the public and protect us?........no, it seems that only MPs are deserving of pay rises; not public servants.

but the result would have been a victory for remain and this whole sordid situation would never have happened.

the situation is not sordid.
We have an opportunity to do well and possibly better outside the EU, albeit with a fairly high price tag.

I see that the amendment to The Queen's Speech removing the 1% pay cap for public sector workers was defeated by a handful of votes yesterday.

So the £1,500,000,000 that this shameless abomination spent in order to keep her festering talons sunk into the rotting carcass of Westminster paid off. This same person derided Jeremy Corbin for suggesting more funding for public services, and yet within days of doing so, used public money to purchase political power. I know the money is effectively going into the public purse, but the factors and criterion used to allocate it is altogether wrong, corrupt even. I do not remember an extra £1,500,000,000 for Northern Ireland being an election issue or being in the Conservative manifesto. This is a hugely significant sum of money.

Why is this hideous cadaver like obscenity not hauled in front of the public, on TV, and asked some very difficult and searching questions? Instead she is allowed to pop up on The One Show, with her Group4 husband and is questioned about running through a field of wheat by that drippy Welsh bird with the teeth. What's going on here?

People also seem to forget, that these same public sector workers (MPs), gave themselves a 10% pay rise in the recent past. How do they explain that?

There is real anger amongst the public and I think the ordinary shitmunchers, doing their essential work whilst simultaneously being fleeced by the PAYE system, are seething with anger, but have nowhere to vent it. I think this is why we are seeing unexpected results in recent elections and polls. If something doesn't change, it will spill out of the poll booth into the streets.

Many will be familiar with this quote by Gandhi:

19511052_575114029543111_4190652203994955133_n.jpg

Less will know that the quote has been researched, discussed, had essays, theses and untold dissertations written about it, all resulting from the question, 'What did Gandhi actually mean when he said that?'

This is one of millions of answers:

'He meant that because poverty could easily be fixed by equalising the distribution of wealth (reducing inequity), those people who choose to inflict poverty are the worst criminals in human history.'

I believe that is exactly what Gandhi meant.

As unfortunately expected, you are of course correct in every aspect.

I posted a brief reply a moment ago which appeared duplicated. On attempting to delete the second one, both disappeared??

Anyway, 'Tillson', I thoroughly enjoyed reading your piece which was both accurate and witty, especially your reference to 'The One Show'. Surely, the public's tolerance cannot be stretched much further by this incompetent creature posing as PM?

I actually believe her own party will dispose of her before the public has another opportunity.

Well when they do dispose of May, I hope they carry her out of Number 10 in two separate buckets and tip the contents into the nearest sewer.

I hope May stays in power until the next election, that means less chance of the Tories winning it, changing leader often gets more votes, something I do not want to see happen.
Mark my words, by next election Tories will be way stronger..there really is only one way for them to go now...

I hope in this rare case you are right OG..
But do you really believe Tories could possibly fight a worse election under worse circumstances than last one? Cant imagine it myself. The party will be hard at work bringing back into fold some leader more personable than TM, their spin will be being planned, they,ll be softening up electorate with some bribes or promises...
Labour should have taken opportunity..strike whilst iron is hot...

And don't tell me Brexit , good or bad, will alter anything because Labour have nothing different to say over it. Folk will just think it will be same under labour, if country is worse off , voters will just say its no time for a labour govt giving money away, if Country is doing well..Tories will claim credit...
I,m telling you Labour have blown it. Missed a golden opportunity..
Granted, an opportunity they would never been granted were it not for JC and his standing.
Folk make out Labour did well, no they did not. Tories did appalling. Labour did worse.
Lets face it TM upset every section of electorate, from young to old, from rich to poor. JC made promises he couldn't keep ( Tuition Fees) had no idea how much other stuff would cost and came over as a genuine, nice bloke...who couldn't run a market stall...
Put it this way OG. Suppose you were going back into business and had invested millions of your own money. Would you choose JC and Diane Abbot to go into business with...
Unfortunately a labour leader has to fulfill both remits. He/ she needs to be seen as caring, socially minded etc etc and still capable of running a business. ( eg Harold Wilson)
A Tory leader only needs to be a business leader. Its sad but true. Just look into history. We have some fantastic labour leaders ...who never made PM. JC is amongst them.( But I hope I,m wrong)
Its why years ago I put so much faith in Blair...look where that got us..

Indeed they will but they have shown they are not invulnerable to adverse events, and these haven't even started yet, so be patient and enjoy the ride, it's going to be a bumpy one.

Where does that leave us with Blair Tom. Not sure but I,d bet you voted for him and he proved worse than even those in power now..
Your Fetish is showing again, cover it up as people have started to notice.
I have already stated any times that I did not, you I presume did vote for New Labour at some point?
According to George Orwell that makes you an accomplice.
How do you plead?
Guilty/ Not Guilty/ led Astray? you have form on that last choice after all.
