Well that's the prospect of another Scottish independence referendum in train.
Mrs May and her pals are going to be busy brexiting and saving the Union.

Just seen Baroness Dr Seuss on TV talking about Lords claiming £300 a day for attending, but not taking part in proceedings. Apparently, some turn up in a taxi, sign in and then immediately leave. All done whilst the taxi waits outside!

Baroness Dr Seuss has taken the decision not to name the offenders because 1) she wants to avoid a media storm, and 2) she is conscious that public opinion of the Lords is already low. She refused a BBC interview.

Where do we get these people from? Is there a farm somewhere where horse faced women are sired by men with enormous foreheads and buck teeth?

It's only an opportunistic vanity exercise for The Tiny Scottish Idiot Woman. I wouldn't pay too much attention to her. Scottish people weren't daft enough last time and they won't be daft enough this time.

If she did achieve and somehow win a second referendum, I can't see Scottland gaining EU membership on its own. They won't have a currency and will be yet another taker from the EU budget. The last thing they need on top of BREXIT and losing the UK's money. Seeing as EU membership is what independence is all about, it seems to be a pointless exercise.

I don't understand the logic.

Every argument used to say the UK is "better together" used to try to tell Scotland they should stay, is how shall we say it, a touch hypocritical, when used by an English government, ignoring the will of the Scottish, whilst also taking them out of a very similar union.

I believe the UK can survive and prosper outside the EU. I don't think that Scotland can.

Read today that the French are passing a law that only the French language can be used on building sites in order to protect local jobs. Just imagine the outcry if the UK tried something similar.

they must have learned these bad habits by watching Farage's performance at the EU Parliament, so what are you complaining about? he doesn't even turn up at all but you idolise him! :)

I think that has been part of the problem with our EU membership. The UK has a tendency to stick rigidly to the rules, whilst our EU friends take a more relaxed approach, turning a blind eye to some aspects and using tactics such as you describe with others.

Slight difference, Farage does turn up and makes speeches, sometimes. Plus, voters could get rid of Farage if they deserted UKIP. How do we get rid of Lord Fuckerty McFuckface and his gigantic forehead?

Yeah, here we are, still waiting for the EU to come and take away control...

It isn't a law, it is a clause in building contracts for public works and the initial motivation is security: "s'assurer que l'ensemble des ouvriers comprennent et parlent le français, et, si c'est impossible, imposer la présence d’un interprète". "Bien loin des caricatures dans lesquelles certains voudraient nous enfermer, c'est une condition sine qua non pour la sécurité des travailleurs sur les chantiers",

So even just one interpreter per site is required which sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Only one person in the EU Parliament has a worse voting record than Nigel Farage
Exclusive analysis of the MEP voting records shows that Mr Farage only turned up to 40.7 per cent of all possible roll-call votes between July 2014 and May 2016

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/only-one-person-eu-parliament-8302643
If people don't like it, don't vote UKIP, then they will have no EU Parliament seats to fill. They can remove Farage and UKIP from the EU Parliament if they don't like the attendance record. Unlike the Lords.

No tillson he simply cannot be said to "turn up" he has the worst attendance record of all but one MEP who is a bed bound invalid, and lets face it hasn't even got a job anymore has he, as May and co want him as much as a dose of toothache.
He is just a nuisance and treated as such.
And, fortunately the voters support for UKIP has taken a nose dive, hasn't it? so we may well see the last of the Buffoon.
