Is that what you actually want? You would like to see the migrants in the UK forced to leave by treating them worse than other human beings.

What comes after that? Will it then be the turn of British passport holders who are out of work to be deported to Australia or somewhere?......or will it be the culling of the elderly...or the disabled?

Are you entirely bereft of any humanity?

Tom
I only pointed out a fact.
So I warn that a lot of the 1 million economically inactive EU citizens may lose their benefits in the future after brexit .
You may not like it, fair enough. Find a valid argument.
Resorting to insults adds nothing to the debate.

..... And had she chosen to go nude?
My reading of this was that the meeting did not in fact take place. No offence took place ,. honour or at least face was upheld by both sides.

If I were to invite you to my place, we would have agreed a protocol in advance.. typically to include no string vests on show,. Not being drunk etc. It's called manners. Manners would have been to politely refuse in advance of the meeting to attend, if she knew of the regulation. Grandstanding is what she did.
No that's not the case. I listened to her detailed explanation and she made it quite clear she would not be wearing the veil, and asked would that be problematic. They said not but on her arrival changed their minds,at which point she politely made her leave..
The only lack of manners was on their part and not hers, if you visited me I wouldn't insist on you wearing a string vest, unless you wished to ofcourse.

Extermination of the elderly has already started. They aren't using gas chambers, just underfunding public health. The elderly and infirm will perish first.

If you think about it, if you are old, from the government's point of view, they want you to die. Why would they want to spend tens of thousands of pounds keeping you alive only to pay you tens of thousands more in pension? Better to kill you off through neglect.

I think May would prefer to personally club old people to death though. Silently popping off on a hospital trolley isn't humiliating enough for working class people.

old tom & old groaner have won me over. I've just been to the bookies and put the following accumulator on for the weekend.

It's going to rain on Saturday
Brexit.
Economic crash.
Food riots.
Slide into fascism.
Declare war on China.
Trenches all across Mongolia.
Blood rain.

Here's the one that matters
We had all better hope that what you suggest doesn't happen as that is a recipe for disorder on an epic scale, ideal ground for a radical troublemaker to create a following of violent nut cases.

If she knew. We only have Fox News reporting that one of the Mufti's staff saying that an aide of hers was told, a lot of links in that chain.

And manners also means not requiring others to obey the tenets of ones religion. Beliefs cannot and must not be imposed.

.... Beliefs cannot and must not be imposed agreed. Modes of behaviour and external displays can be.
Insisting that your Muslim guests eat the smoked ham starter and that you hug their wives when they visit your house is crass and deliberately offensive. Insisting that your japenese friends quaff large glasses of cows milk, when they don't have the enzymes for it or putting large t bone steaks in front of your Indian friends or your vegan neighbours, will gain you many friends.
Irish people will use the f word with gay abandon , and will scandalise Americans ( Mrs Browns Boys notwithstanding).
Joking about Auschwitz will not not endear one to the Jews .
Cursing using the name of Jesus will offend many mild mannered Christians .
Mutual respect demands that we make as much accommodation to those of differing views as is reasonably feasible.

That is not being obsequious or politically correct, it is manners. I am reminded of a definition of a gentleman... One who does not unintentionally give offense.

Yes we all have red line issues and we need to be able to defend them , but much else is manners. Some of these are human rights issues

But you,ve not really said who was exhibiting bad manners. Your explanation as good as it is justifies both stand points.
There is another issue going on though, a group of blokes debating wether its ok for another group of blokes telling a woman what she must wear, its so wrong on so many levels. The veil could easily be seen as an item of control, but that decision and wether to wear it is with the wearer and wearer .Not us and not the Mufti or his cultural beliefs or his religion. Both the veil and burkha are seen by many as items of oppression.

So tell me why should EU citizens be treated any better than those who come from outside the EU after brexit?

The requirement for women to cover hair and/or face is insulting, based solely in an inference that they are in some way inferior, sheer bigotry devoid of any justification.

It is directly linked to the separation of women in mosques and other such discriminations, so has long had a religious dimension. And it is always on the grounds of religious freedom that female supporters of wearing the veil and other coverings fight the issue.

Though I dislike Marie le Pen and her political beliefs, I firmly support her stand on this issue and her refusal to be insulted and be forced into conformity with a religious practice.

Because they are fellow Europeans with whom we have many ties? Family is important and can justify preferential treatment.
