A huge navy is a really great idea when you have an empire. When you no longer have an empire what use is it?

Second question: what did the ECJ do to The Wicked Witch to get her knickers in such a knot?

mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?
She obviously does not like the idea of supra nationality.
More importantly, will the Lords have more conscience than our parliamentarians?

No OG, both you and Tom are both absolute bigots. You search for the tiniest of issues and theb exagerate them to attack anyone who disagrees with either of you.
We,ve seen it time and time again on here. Reasonable posters simply stop contributing realising its pointless and will merely lead to them being insulted..Good example being Mike...he,s now left the thread.
Since nothing seems to stop you posting, surely it follows that you are confirming you are not a "Reasonable poster"?
Point taken, but confidentially we knew that already.

If it actually worked we might use it to pretend we have a "Doomsday Weapon"
But since that idea is out of the question now, I'm stumped to answer that.
Beside who in their right mind would want to invade us?
After Brexit they will be able to buy the place for peanuts!
Don't let this get about, but I suspect that a price list has already been circulated among the "Right" people, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

The word NO somehow springs to mind, besides that would spoil the "Whitehall Farce" that we are all eagerly awaiting.

With regard to the American President with whom our glorious führer got up close and personal recently, he is the leader of a country with a huge responsibility for turning the peoples of the middle-east against western nations generally.

Why have the Americans involved themselves so heavily in places where they really have no business? Let's not forget their reluctance to support the UK and other European nations in WW2 in the fight against German Nazi aggression, only entering the fray when their own territory was attacked. Why, then, do they continually wage war now in far-off lands and why does our tory government want to be best pals with them?

This little picture suite might stimulate some thoughts but the answers might not be what some wish to hear:

You are in a perpetual state of denial Tillson but one day you will realise the folly of placing blind faith in people like these:

Perhaps when that day comes, you might grow a spine and stand against the evil people who inspired a feeble-minded loner to viciously murder a female MP on the streets of her constituency.

You might wish to remember that Edmund Burke had this to say:

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

I think someone is getting over excited. Nurse! Bring me Tom's medicine, he's at it again.

I imagine that it's great fun at your house. Coils of razor wire on the front lawn, floodlights at every corner of the property, an Anderson Shelter in the garden and locks on every internal door. All measures intended to keep out the Nazis.

Has your condition deteriorated to the point where you believe that propaganda is being beamed directly into you mind by Space Nazis? Maybe a high intensity magnetic ray deflector cape would reduce the penetration? You can buy them directly from China via the Bang Good website. Here is a link for your assistance.

The blog by 'The Canary' has a little piece today which won't appear in the fascist news media. You can read it on this attached link and if you can spare a moment Tillson from your occupation of Poland, I thoroughly recommend you give it your full attention.

Poland has been liberated, I'm back in Blighty.

If you haven't been, you should go, I had a really interesting time there and we in the UK could learn a thing or two from them. I was particularly impressed by their younger generation, they pee all over our youngsters in terms of behaviour, professionalism and good citizenship.

I will have a read of your link. My mind is always open to information even though my conclusions are usually different to yours.

I fully support all of what you say here, but do you really think that the Ed Balls, Emily Thornbury, Dianne Abbott and Tony Blair types really represent this?

There is currently no one in British politics who represents these groups.
I have to say that IMHO there has never been a recent time when I am so unimpressed in the quality of our current politicians, especially on the Tory side.
Would anyone pick Boris as Home Secretary and Liam Fox as development secretary and Theresa, right wing,May to unify our country?
The Labour Party have some good people in Keir Starmer,Chukka,Harriet Harman,Emily Thornberry but they are frustrated behind a hopeless leader in Corbyn....why does he insist on wearing a hat that makes him look like Lenin, but he claims he is not a communist, hehe!!

Tillson.......my son is a pilot flying out of Gdansk, often doing the Gdansk-Stansted sectors. He tells me everyone is well behaved except when he has a stag-do party,ex UK,girls or guys!
He is really impressed by Gdansk, wonderful accommodation, friendly and hard working people,Sopot is a lovely holiday resort, the only thing he hates is the current bitterly cold weather.

"The Canary" draws attention to a bill that I've already been following the progress of. It follows a path that from 1994 has resulted in a succession of laws which are increasingly draconian and in at least four cases are in breach of our own pre-existing laws. This has been commented on by the three major mainland EU nations who have all ruled that they breach both UK and EU law.

Even our own High Court has issued a statement which is in defiance of one of those laws and in one case the Supreme Court has overruled that same illegal law. Some eminent barristers have also expressed very deep concern.

As I've commented previously, the people of the UK are sleep walking into a future devoid of freedoms. Maybe they find the prospect of living in an ever closer copy of North Korea attractive? Fortunately I won't be around to live in it.

I consider myself fortunate for the same reason!
Woe betide the younger generation, but then Fools rush in.
And if anyone asks why The Government wants to be free of the European Court of Human Rights, all you have to do is point them in the direction of the Snoopers Charter.

"
Rolls-Royce will report one of the biggest losses in British corporate history this week as Brexit and a corruption scandal leave an indelible mark on the famous aerospace company.

City analysts have forecast that Rolls could report a pre-tax loss of more than £4bn – its worst ever – due to the sharp decline in the value of the pound and the £671m penalty that the company has agreed to pay to settle corruption allegations."

Not good
Massive corporation tax reclaim,Notice how Hammond is quiet at the moment.....expect he is trying to juggle lower tax takes with increased spending on NHS and Social Care, plus all the costs of Brexit, desperately trying to avoid putting up NIC or Income Tax.
