Big airbags which deploy externally to form a protective sphere is the only way to make that safe in a crash at 50mph, which would result in a game of motorway pinball, or catch the bouncing P50. I wouldn't want to be sitting in that! Even the much larger old minis were terrifying to occupy on the motorway.
Would be just fine at Port Meirion. In fact, could be quite a spectacle.

love it (must be marginally safer than a moped), but not for £15K
There are none for sale on ebay, can't imagine resale value would be high - that company is licensed to kill sell replicas.

Despite having lived nearby for a decade, I regret never having visited... largely out of fear I wouldn't be allowed to leave - the TV advert was most offputting. Once I've got fully plumbed in with colostomy bags, I wouldn't ever have to exit the P50.

The electric kit which includes parts to build a complete vehicle, with "Fully customised interior", is

£10,094

It'd depreciate rapidly pretty much instantly, I guess trading in at Tesla would amuse their salespeople.

My sole visit was somewhen around 1970 or so. Shortly after the program was screened. Enjoyed but not that spectacular.

The book was a good read. No doubt of great interest to students of architecture, who might not like the look of North Wale's many outdoor activities (perpetually soggy sheep, zip wires, windsurfing, some beaches, climbing, kayaking etc. as you know)... but might find more arcitectural interest in Coventry. I wouldn't mind standing around and gawping at the Sagrada Familia, when I visit Spain on my way to Ibiza to visit hippie friends. But there's no telling what they might have got into by now, the hippy community there started long before the raves, and drugs and cults are rife on the island. The people I know who settled there seem incapable of saying no to anything. I might actually decide to avoid Ibiza...

I wonder if they've been forced to adapt it's design to conform to modern safety standards? In which case the new P50s may be safer in a crash than they look. Can't imagine it contains a racing spec roll cage...

Review of MG4 by PH. They are usually scathing of anything without pistons. (stands to reason I suppose, "PH"... Piston Heads.)

Worth reading "comments", which are rather more applicable to this threads topic than the car itself.??? (It's a massive comments section in such a short time, especially for PH and the Politics of situation has driven majority, people are becoming more aware and critical of regime in China)??

At risk of sounding like Clarkson, how hard can it be to use a Peel to make molds and gf copies of the original body panels? I know of that being done with berkeleys, cheaply.
Speaking of being ripped off, I gather truss is going to opt for offering commercial banks an unlimited line of credit to fund energy company profits on behalf of the consumer(Today, radio 4, this AM). Who will of course pay this back with enormous interest over the next 100 years. This will make what teflon Tony did with private public partnerships in the health service look like very small beer indeed

Sky news: App that detects COVID in your voice 'more accurate than lateral flow tests'
That does not say much about the value of the LFT covid test, does it?

Well you know how scathing I've been about Covid tests, all a huge waste of money.

The "vaccines" little better, experience now showing herd immunity was a good idea after all.

Years ago, there was some research which showed that voice analysis could detect thyroid disorders. Not sure without checking whether it was only hypothyroidism - or hyperthyroidism as well.

There were even suggestions it could be used over the phone, in ordinary conversations, which opened up all sorts of avenues for misuse.

Have not noticed anything more recently but could easily have missed it.

Just noting that voice is an interesting diagnostic technology.

I'm apoplectic. Well, almost... it's much cheaper to nationalise. Or nationalise and restructure for better privatisation. This world is fscked if energy production and supply is left in the hands of profit making concerns.

there are no easy answers to control the price of energy.
You have to stop gas and electricity from flowing through pipes to and from other countries before you can control their price.

Mind, so many people have had such a scare about the potential costs, our demand could seriously plummet. Albeit accompanied by great suffering, many deaths, etc.

The body could be made thinner and lighter too - mind you, it's unladen weight is quoted as only 105kg... if the body (aircon, radio, 5.1 sound system, beer fridge, TV etc.) was left off (30kg?), it'd be an epic low power usage EV. Could get away using a less power hungry motor. For city runs, range wouldn't need to be hundeds of miles, therefore a lighter smaller battery would do. But easily stolen.

No, we'll keep calm and carry on. Then form an orderly queue to complain.
