Could they legally get away with beheading me in the street? It's all got my Cromwell bone itching... Maybe a small fine for littering? He could just tell us plebs to **** off in a newsnight interview. That should settle it.

He could have established a monarchy for his family, if he'd been brighter and ruthless. Whether he still could, is unknown. Support seems to be ebbing.Towards the Trump approach.
Got involved in sport more or less as it started. All on big boards then, long wooden booms, fibreglass masts and sails more suited to dinghies. Kit has changed beyond all recognition... Monofilm sails, neutral bouyancy boards built from carbon, S glass and Dyneema, carbon kevlar masts.. Carbon booms. Board weight's down from 18kg to under 6kg and speeds up from 15 kts or so to over 50..average sailing speeds are probably now higher than outright speed record from 79..it really has changed but its still the same. You, your board and the wind. You must have started very early into the sport. I saw it first in France .. La Rochelle Beach and Harbour in July 76.
Think it's called ski sit. Been doing it since college days,it does help..You might know this exercise for knees - a physio directed me to do this regularly after my knee got twatted by a black BMW which suddenly leapt out of a wall to my left in front of my bike and I tumbled over it's bonnet: Stand with your feet slightly apart (a couple of foot lengths), about 1.5ft away from a wall, with your back against the wall... slide your back down the wall until you are in a chair sitting position (or as near as you can manage). Hold for 10 seconds, push yourself back up. Repeat five times, once a day. This strengthens the muscles which keep your kneecaps in their correct positions, at a healthy distance from the bones.

It's too cold and wet! Those winsurfer dudes back in the day were dropping acid ("Half a tab." "Half? Why only half?" "A whole tab is too much dude!"), smoking weed, while lusting over helium filled titanium boards weighing 12kg. I look forward to someday seeing foils fast enough to ride the ride crests of waves. No but wetsuits have improved dramatically. Water through flush is hardly noticeable, material is softer, lighter and more thermal and seals actually seal now. It only took them 40 years to make good surface suits.. We used to have to resort to diving suits, which were great for diving...Has it got any warmer? asking for some old bones
They are here, Hawai thinking of banning them tho(from crowded breaks)It's too cold and wet! Those winsurfer dudes back in the day were dropping acid ("Half a tab." "Half? Why only half?" Disconnected from cold water sounds good to me - would "Christ Our Saviour Almighty Foil Boards From On High", be a good brand name for your foil company? Target Faceplant ads at that demographic? The TV ad could feature a businessman suited and booted arriving at work with dry trousers, after his foil board commute along the canal. "Thank you Jesus Board!", he could say with a wink and cheery double thumbs up. And/or "Praise the Board!"They are here, Hawai thinking of banning them tho(from crowded breaks)
Some bloke has surfed (foiled) a sea swell 50 miles or so.. Don't think we, ll see foils taking outright speed (in windsurfing) but they certainly go earlier, faster in light winds... But again it's not windsurfing... Really smooth, precise almost non aggressive. You don't feel same connection, it's actually remote from the chop, waves, conditions, which is good in some respects but doesn't give same experience. It's actually a completely different sport. Tried it, got OK, but again not for me.
Powered efoils for no wind are a different matter.
Ironically, Churchill, at least, did fight (but, obviously, not die).i found something sensible in the Reader’s Comments section of the Mail On-Line, for once. (The Mail is free and I don’t like paying for stuff).
Something we should always remember... It's the politicians that start wars. Not the people... It's the politicians that are never sent to war. It's always the people... It's the politicians that never fight and die in wars. It's always the people... It's not the politicians who come home in body bags. It's always the people... Doesn't seem fair, does it?.. Liz Truss playing with that tank she was recently photographed would get my vote. Paint a target between her eyes first and send that to The Ukraine.
And why didn’t someone arm the ejection seat of that Typhoon Johnson was sat in yesterday?
