If you are considering such possibilities, some suggest that around 400 mg of magnesium a day has a significant impact on afib. (Choosing a form which is well absorbed - not magnesium oxide which affects the gut but hardly absorbs at all.)
Tried it. Got a cupboard full of the stuff.. Thanks.
It might keep folk in rhythm who are borderline but it's not a cure..
Same as with most things, Internet is awash with remedies that have all worked for someone. Somebody has a few palpitations and next thing they have self diagnosed AF, then they find a cure... For something they didn't have in first place.
Two things work for me. Cardioversion, electrical reset of heart, but I only get 2 or 3 months... Cardio Ablation, worked for about 10 months but said all along I, d need a second... But since waiting list is getting longer and longer because silly feckers refuse vaccine I, m having to wait another 6 to 9 months. (waited 6 weeks for first)
Second should give me 5 years in rhythm. ... So consultant says.
In mean time taking it very very steady on bike and thanking it has a nice high setting.
Thing I have noticed, I, m convinced I, m fitter cycling than anything else. I reckon leg action helps circulate blood.???
Just going now...
I tried all sorts of things first few years in AF, just try and forget it now and get on with it.. If I don't go anaerobic I, m sort of OK.. Just have to stay at 60% or so.. Can still sail and bike, just have to have a different attitude. Plenty of breaks, good food, plenty of sleep, no alcohol..
