You forgot Williamson - there again, most people try to.Only if they are "yes men" like the present bunch, and I dont see all of them as particularly capable. Matt Hancock, Chris Grayling and Priti Patel for example.

He must be uncomfortable almost all the time except when he is alone."I suspect the trouble is that Boris is not comfortable in the company of more capable people."
See my reply to Woosh. This wrong attribution is what happens when members don't use the "Quote" facility, instead typing out what was said as if they are saying it.He must be uncomfortable almost all the time except when he is alone.
Indeed, but I dread his replacement. Imagine the kind of damage a bright eyed bushy tailed gove could do. Hancock's privatising of nhs data would pale in significanceGoing, going, gone.
Shows Johnson's failure of judgement (as if it were not already so obvious) that he fully supported Hancock.Indeed, but I dread his replacement. Imagine the kind of damage a bright eyed bushy tailed gove could do. Hancock's privatising of nhs data would pale in significance
He did have to go. But the nhs has become ever more corporate, privatised, soulless. A world removed from the communities of clinicians with duties of care to patients I encountered twenty years ago. Given the mindless destruction gove wrecked in education, I can only imagine what hed have in mind for healthShows Johnson's failure of judgement (as if it were not already so obvious) that he fully supported Hancock.
But yes, his replacement is worrying. Still, he had to go.
It was indeed.. and that was the reason I did not include the bulk of your posting. It was a feeble attempt at self depreciation humour. Perhaps I should leave that to experts. That was actually Danidl quoting me!
Danidl makes a point of not commenting on UK politicians so probably wouldn't like the attribution of the original.

That's good. He was a careful but effective chancellor for Johnson until the latter appointed Rishi Sunak to rush things for quicker results, plunging us into ever deeper debt. Not Gove!
Sajid Javid appointed health secretary after Matt Hancock resigns
To be fair, I'd rather work in an organisation led by a rabid chihuahua with intermittent explosive disorder than goveThat's good. He was a careful but effective chancellor for Johnson until the latter appointed Rishi Sunak to rush things for quicker results, plunging us into ever deeper debt.

All if there's money to be spaffedHow many of them are really Johnson-ites?
For vermin that's impressiveIf Hancock hadn't already gone he might have had to go...
Matt Hancock used private email account for government business
Matt Hancock faces an investigation after using a personal email account instead of an official address during the pandemic in a breach of government guidelines.
Since March last year the health secretary has routinely used a private account to conduct government business, concealing information from his own officials and potentially the public, according to documents obtained by The Sunday Times.
So what's new? they weren't fit for public office everOn 5 July, it’s highly likely that Matt Handcock will be required, as Health Secretary and hence guarantor of our wellbeing, to address the nation and tell us that we must continue to adhere to restrictions placed on our lives due to Coronavirus. Restrictions that he considers himself exempt from and therefore ignores.
I suspect they will send someone like the Culture Secretary to deliver the news and draw fire. Handcock is busted.
Any MP or cabinet minister who supports Handcock or fails to condemn his conduct can’t be fit to hold public office either.
