Look at it this way Polly (or fashion it thus, as brutus might say), in a world where complete knobs like boris can convince apparently sentient adults in uk to vote for brexit, and remain popular after slaughtering their grannies and destroying their childrens' future one doesnt need a virus to control the herd.Too many gatekeepers

For the PB vaccine. The AZ is known not to lose its effect.Agreed.
Results of Scottish study:
Vaccine dose 1 (7- 13 days) Pfizer 38% AZ 70%
Vaccine dose 1 (14-20 days) Pfizer 60% AZ 74%
Vaccine dose 1 (21-27 days) Pfizer 72% AZ 84%
Vaccine dose 1 (28-34 days) Pfizer 85% AZ 94%
Vaccine dose 1 (35-41 days) Pfizer 68% AZ NA
Vaccine dose 1 (42+ days) Pfizer 64% AZ NA
the study shows the rapid decrease in vaccine effect after only 5-6 weeks.
I wonder what it would be after 12 weeks.
Wd are talking about protection from hospitalisation you dweeb!

then why the Scottish study was stopped after the AZ vaccine effect reached 94%?Wd are talking about protection from hospitalisation you dweeb!
Elected first as an MP, then won all five voting rounds to be elected by the elected MPs of the party, then finally selected by party members. So there were hundreds of electoral processes involved in him becoming PM and a single selection only process.Boris was selected NOT elected
It's 7 weeks for us next Tuesday, I am making the assumption that unless we get the second one before week 12, theoretically I should be asking for this second shot to be regarded as a first to restart the process, and ask for the third to be within the four weeks timescale.then why the Scottish study was stopped after the AZ vaccine effect reached 94%?
If, as I surmised, the vaccine effect decreases at roughly the same speed that it went up, about 15% per week, it will be obvious that the over 70 will need their second jab after week 7 or the whole vaccine effect will vanish after week 10.
Are you? I'm not!Wd are talking about protection from hospitalisation you dweeb!
It's because it is 100% FAKE Bullcrapthen why the Scottish study was stopped after the AZ vaccine effect reached 94%?

This is the point ..at what stage is a booster shot a new innoculation?. I am not sure that the gamble was a good or bad call, ..but it was certainly rash and imprudent. I don't think it is wise to have rash leadership. Again I remain worried about facilitating mutant variants. If I could be assured on that point, and if plenty of vaccine is coming on stream, then the gamble becomes worthwhile. It's 7 weeks for us next Tuesday, I am making the assumption that unless we get the second one before week 12, theoretically I should be asking for this second shot to be regarded as a first to restart the process, and ask for the third to be within the four weeks timescale.
This whole process has descended into farce, and all because of idiots taking risks to appear ahead of the rest of the world instead of doing the job properly.
Old hat now, but brazil variant with mutation e484k that may help evade vaccine has been found in uk this weekThis is the point ..at what stage is a booster shot a new innoculation?. Wether you, JHC or me do or don't is irrelevant. Fact is the government policy is to use vaccinations to save maximum number of lives over stopping infection fully in a minority. Are you? I'm not!

It doesn’t vanish. It’s a very slow rate of decreasing effectiveness which takes place over many months. But the time the second jab is administered at 12 weeks, the recipient still has plenty of protection from hospitalisation. Delaying the second jab is a fantastic piece of foresight by the health services.then why the Scottish study was stopped after the AZ vaccine effect reached 94%?

Be patient. Your second shot will give you full protection, you aren’t starting again. There are other people who need vaccinating apart from you. Your second jab is some other person’s first and it may save their life. It's 7 weeks for us next Tuesday, I am making the assumption that unless we get the second one before week 12, theoretically I should be asking for this second shot to be regarded as a first to restart the process, and ask for the third to be within the four weeks timescale.

maybe it doesn't vanish completely but in the Scottish study that you talked about, the Pfeizer vaccine peaked at week 4 85% then dropped 17% in week 5 to 68% then to 64% in week 6.It doesn’t vanish. It’s a very slow rate of decreasing effectiveness which takes place over many months. And there will be others until we stamp it out. Presumably the Brazilian is a very small number of cases, just like the original last February, and hiding in plain view, just as the original was masking as flu last January a year ago.Old hat now, but brazil variant with mutation e484k that may help evade vaccine has been found in uk this week
