I am glad I never joined up on Twitter. (Though I am aware of some uses it has.)

'Hang Mike Pence' trends on Twitter after platform suspends Trump for risk of 'incitement of violence'
The tweets appeared to circulate a video of Capitol protestors chanting the phrase

Attach a magnet to crank ring and mount sensor so it picks movement up.???
System won't work without a magnet passing sensor periodically..???
That doesn't work since the mk1 bosch system. If you do it too much, it can brick your motor!

Great suggestion Zlatan. I’m not familiar with Bosch motors, I’m a Panasonic man:D

Does the motor pickup just need a periodic pulse then? I thought the motor software calculated the bike’s road speed from the pulse frequency and wheel size. The pedal cadence (attaching magnet to pedal crank) doesn’t give the motor that information, will it still work?

I suppose I could do as you say and take the bike for a quick test ride.
Don't do it unless it's an old Bosch. You've been warned!

Majority think Boris Johnson should resign as prime minister – poll

Opinium survey finds 43% think PM needs to go, but only 20% say Keir Starmer should step down
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/jan/09/most-think-boris-johnson-should-resign-poll
Didn't KS just get a vote of no confidence from our own party or does the party give out fake news? I don't remember that happening to Boris.

What did he do?
Oh Dear oh Dear
For every person with the spark of genius
There is some daft beggar with ignition trouble
Try starting your brain up again, and who knows? it might fire on all cylinders.
One can only hope... :D

'Think it couldn't happen here? You're deluded': From Covid deniers' lies to the refusal to accept Brexit, DAN HODGES sees alarming echoes of Trump's America in Britain today

So refusing to accept the dreadful mistake and swindle is Trumpism? the man Hodges is a nut case

What did he do?
he misuses his office to build a private army, undermines and endangers the US parliament, and incites the violent attack on the Capitol.

I can't be bothered to read any tripe under that headline.

But my continued belief that leaving the EU was a mistake, and was pushed through using all sorts of techniques some of which included outright lies and manipulation, doesn't imply I am going to kill a cow, put some of it on my head and body, and start smashing up HoP. Further, I accept that the current legal status is that we are out of the EU.

So he can damn well stop accusing me of being like a Trump supporter.

Yet there are very definitely dangers and nasty people, organisations and things happening here. Including ERG, JRM, and many others.

Speaking of lies...

The UK rejected an offer of visa-free tours by musicians to EU countries, despite blaming Brussels for what the industry is calling the devastating blow of them requiring permits.
A “standard” proposal to exempt performers from the huge cost and bureaucracy for 90 days was turned down, The Independent has been told – because the government is insisting on denying that to EU artists visiting this country.

“It is usually in our agreements with third countries, that [work] visas are not required for musicians. We tried to include it, but the UK said no,” an EU source close to the negotiations said.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/uk-visa-free-work-musicians-eu-brexit-b1784600.html

Especially as the impact on EU artists is to reduce by one country (albeit probably an important one), whereas for UK artists it removes 27 countries from the possible venue lists.

As good a visual depiction of the government's response to Covid-19 being somewhat of a mixed blessing as you could wish for

or Brexit too, come to think of it!
Imagine if the boulder hadn't veered to the right
Rather like looking at the difference between choosing the FTA instead of "No deal"
the Monty Python line
"Tis but a scratch"
Comes to mind

Businesses should brace for 'significant border disruption' as France orders ports crackdown
It came as retailers, couriers, fishing bodies and logistics firms warned they had been hit by a 'perfect storm'

How dare those Johnny Foreigners enforce the rules that we agreed to?
Didn't someone read the small print again?
I just did , and I was wrong, we must have as we didn't just agree but actually insisted on these rules..
"Sovrintee" n'all that y'know.
Someone should remind Wormtongue it was
our idea!
