They will go on and on.
the electoral college will vote on Monday, Trump will accept the result of that vote.
Yesterday was the end of the line for Trump's effort to get what he wants.

the electoral college will vote on Monday, Trump will accept the result of that vote.
Yesterday was the end of the line for Trump's effort to get what he wants.
But...

The conservative-controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court agreed on Friday to hear arguments over the weekend on President Donald Trump's state lawsuit seeking to disqualify more than 221,000 ballots and overturn his loss to Democrat Joe Biden in the battleground state.
The court's decision to take the case, and to hear arguments on Saturday, came hours after a lower court judge ruled against Trump and said there was nothing illegal about the election or subsequent recount in the state's two largest counties. The fast action comes ahead of Monday's scheduled Electoral College vote.
Reserve Judge Stephen Simanek ruled against every argument Trump made challenging ballots in the state's two largest counties, saying the election was properly administered and that there was no wrongdoing as the president alleged.
“The bottom line here is that the court should do everything to ensure that the will of the voters prevail,” the judge said.
Trump quickly appealed the ruling. Trump's attorneys asked for a ruling no later than Jan. 6 when Congress meets to approve the Electoral College votes. Trump contends that is the “real deadline” for judicial action to overturn Wisconsin's electoral votes.
Trump's attorney said in the request that the campaign is asking his electors to cast their ballots for Trump on Monday and send them to Congress so, if a court intervenes in the meantime, the Trump votes would be counted instead of Biden.

Utterly without merit, of course.

Yes what a tragedy,

Wee Krankie's Scotland have finally topped the table in something, what an achievement.

View attachment 39706
You are mostly comparing Scotland, part of the UK, to countries which can decide on their own legislation regarding drug misuse.
The Misuse of Drugs Act is reserved to the UK Government, thereforet this is a UK problem which is happening in Scotland, a part of the UK.
The Scottish Government, which does have public health as a devolved power, has requested a change in UK legislation to allow it to treat drug misuse as a public health issue. So far nothing is forthcoming.
The simple solution of allowing addicts to administer drugs under controlled conditions would go a long way to reducing drug deaths, however this is currently prevented by UK legislation.

She‘s not had a good Coronavirus response though. Scotland isn’t exactly a beacon of excellence regarding how to deal with COVID.
Scotland doesn't have aspirations to be "a beacon of excellence", "world beating", "better than all those other countries" etc.
All that is required is to do the best that can be done in the given circumstances.
The response to Covid is not a competition, there are too many variables, remember the UK government telling us we shouldn't make comparisons with other countries.

I know many people, who have been victims of drug addicts in one way or another. Do they try and break into your shop or home? I guarantee that's what would happen if you were in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
I assume this happened to you when you lived in Edinburgh and Glasgow, you did live there didn't you?
The only other way you could guarantee such a thing is if you were the perpetrator of such nefarious deeds.

It's all Project Fear. It will just be so easy...

Brexit stockpiling causing 10-mile tailbacks in Calais
Severe delays as businesses try to get goods into Britain before a potential no-deal Brexit on 1 January
Brexit stockpiling is causing severe delays of up to five hours in Calais leading to 10-mile lorry queues, it has emerged, as hopes of a trade deal fade.

Truth is, there is such uncertainty because no-one has actually made clear what will happen, anyone who can will be trying to avoid the issues of the new year.

The US Supreme Court has rejected an unprecedented attempt to throw out election results in four battleground states that was backed by President Donald Trump.

The lawsuit, filed this week by the state of Texas, sought to invalidate results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

President-elect Joe Biden won all four.

The lawsuit was supported by 19 state attorneys general and 127 Republican members of Congress.

But the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that Texas did not have legal standing to bring the case, in a brief order rejecting the bid.
Nothing to get excited about. Basically, SCOTUS told them to restructure their claim, so it'll be back shortly. Also, they don't want to appear to be too much pro-Trump. It makes them look fairer when they find in his favour.

All cooks know that most of the work goes into making sure you put something good into oven. Sadly there is always the risk of something going wrong in the oven. What you put so hopefully into the oven can come out ruined.

That risk is particularly high if you have a total incompetent in charge of the oven.

Firstly vfr there is no Great Reset, I keep telling you that. It's a conspiracy theory that it's going happen without anyone realising it but of course it's like the world will end theory, when it does which it will do one day it will end for all. A Great Reset would also reset the re-setters if that makes sense, it's like capturing the City in a war then burning it down which coincidently is what Trump is doing. He won't come back in four years the Reps wouldn't want him again, too much of a loose canon so he's wrecking whatever he can while he has the chance.

As for Biden having dementia that's an old chestnut they said that about Reagan and Hilary Clinton, Maggi Thatcher came in for some stick as well IIRC. Trump hasn't fared too well either, In the states 350 mental health professionals submitted a letter to Congress last year claiming that the president’s mental health was deteriorating and so it goes on, par for the course.
Mind you I agree Biden won't be there long, Harris will take over at the first chance she gets with the full consent of Biden I'm sure...it's in the bag already.
The Laptop thing I try to keep an open mind on, if we were to believe even a fraction of what it's supposed to contain it would be more than explosive. But does America really care I wonder, I doubt if they do.
What's this then?

Amazing how right wing idiots attribute their own faults to others.
Just what advantage will Brexit ever be except to the rich?
Will it benefit the public?
Only a mentally retarded person would have that view. You're looking through Brexit derangement blinkers and not seeing the bigger picture.
Firstly, I have no political bent, so I'm not right wing if that's what you're implying.
Brexit has no advantage to anyone, neither does remain. It's only an illusion of choice. The future will be the same, regardless.

as predicted, SCOTUS threw out yesterday Trump's attempt to win the election through the US Supreme Court.
Perhaps Nigel and vfr will now leave the subject alone.
See what I said in my earlier post today. No need to start getting excited.

Yes I did live in Glasgow. 39 Dunearn street to be exact. I also lived at 22 Belhaven Terrace for a couple of years. I never take drugs, not even aspirins, except when prescribed by a Doctor for a specific medical condition. Even then, I often don't take them. I have, however substantially sponsored and worked with drug rehabilitation facilities, so I have some experience of the devestation that hard drugs do to not only those taking the drugs, but those around them too.

Your crassness about this matter shows a lot about your character.

Well like you I have lived most of my life with minimal medication. However I am since September/October on 6 heavy doses per day.
Yes the devastation and widescale damage of unlicensed drug consumption is appalling.

Meanwhile in other news the USA, has continued with averages in excess of 3000 CV19 deaths every day all week... This is their record. But the penny or cent has dropped and they have authorised the Pfizer produced vaccine
