Thank goodness some companies are doing reasonably well:
(Reuters) - British recruiting firm SThree Plc on Monday projected annual profit to be slightly above market expectations on improved hiring in the United States and Germany, with a high demand for professionals in life sciences and technology.
Seems they said they would repay all furlough claimed from the government. Which is good.
But what have we here? A vaccine co-ordinator with a financial interest in a life sciences recruiting company?
And please note that his vaccine co-ordination will be on top of his existing duties. Does this mean he was twiddling his thumbs? Or that vaccine co-ordination is something he can fit in between representing his constituents, acting as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and worrying about his company (assets around 40 million) - though he did resign as director in 2018.
