I thought Tim Farron was ok. Jo Swindon was a complete disaster. She had a golden opportunity, but squandered it by getting sidetracked with bollicks policies that nobody was interested in except her.
Farron couldn't decide anything - most especially about homosexuality and tolerance. Or he couldn't tell anyone what he had decided.

I don't hate muslims. But I do hate their ideology. I hate the stupidity of the ideas that underpin their so-called 'faith'. But them? As people. No. I don't hate them. Anybody can be brainwashed by an idea.
But I didn't say Muslims, not did Barry who I quoted. It should be curtains for them was the clue.

And, by inference, boris the best. I have the opposite view: this electorate that voted for brexit, boris - and would again after their grannies died and their long term unemployed children have long covid and the uk has become the peripheral archaic, irrelevant nut house on the global stage its rapidly becoming - are, without a shadow of doubt, the most stupid ***** I've encountered in my lifetime.
I don't see that inference at all!

Maybe Clement Attlee?

But if the electorate don't get it, we are sunk.

Yet again, confusion:

Chief medical officer, Chris Whitty, starts with slides.
Across virtually the entire country now, there is a significant rate of increase.

Is that the UK? Or England?

Might be true whichever, but it is lamentable that there appears to be close to zero understanding.

Estimates for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. This survey is being delivered in partnership with University of Oxford, University of Manchester, Public Health England and Wellcome Trust.

Though with Wales coming out of their 'firebreak' in a few day things will get interesting on Nov 9 - do they carry on till 2nd Dec?

And Scotland on Monday goes with a 5 level tier system...

I think I heard Wales will still be ending the fire break on the 9th.

Actually that's a good shout.

Corbyn was the worst leader of a mainstream political party in my lifetime.
On the credit side he didn't kill tens of thousands of our own people by bad decision making, did he?
So how come he is worse than the man who did?
And incidentally appears to have just done a comeback performance of it too.

Every enquiry has a scope. There has to be a defined limit or else it would never end. It’s like expecting you to comment on the efficiency of the gas fire when you’ve only been asked to inspect the toilet.
I see rather like the one into Russian interference, good point! :D
And it did come to a very convenient conclusion when a diversion was desperately needed, excellent timing.
Even Starmer was pleased.
win-win all round

I was rather amused by the observation that by Corbyn losing the GE someone had
"Dodged a bullet"
While this may be true

There are better ways to do that
Than walk into a "Hail of lead"
