Covid's almost killing as many as cancer (450 a day) again. accusing others of believing what they read and having nightmares is - so - ironic. Brings to mind Freud's joke about two Jews meeting in vicinity of a bathhouse. "Have you taken a bath?" one asked. "no, why is there one missing?" replied other. Were not all stealing baths.

Labour doesn't need any excuses for things they are not guilty of, the EHRC charges are not just wrong, they are an obscenity.

It is precisely because Labour rank human rights and equality at the forefront that led to this whole issue, their refusal to accept any criticism of Israel as being anti-semitism, this being part of thei defence of Palestinian human rights.

This week, 300 die of Covid a day in hospitals, next week, that number will go up to 500 and by the end of November, 1,000+ a day.
We'll still have another 100+ days to go before the weather warms up again to reduce the virus's virulence.
4 out of 5 deaths at the moment are over 80.
When half of the over 80 have succumbed, the dying will get younger.
That will be my lot next.
You were in hospital and witnessed the disease yourself, I only saw it on television when the BBC camera went to Italy and Spain. It is frightening enough.

Neither, individually they mean little. Once names with a very specific association are paired or tripled in naming someone, there often follows specific associated behaviours,]

When the elderly, the weak and the feeble have been wiped out, the daily death rate will decline. The younger fitter people left behind will survive in greater numbers per 1000 infections.

Perhaps. In some african countries (south africa) a hypothesis is that hats why infections are now less (a kind of herd immunity). But they have pyramidal demographics, lots of young - we have bell shaped (lots of old). Theres an awful lot of dying before we have a developing countries demographics

What I witnessed was an empty hospital. 4 years ago, I was in the same ward. A manager came round every day to see who they could kick out to make room for somebody else. This time in July, there were only two patients in the ward with 8 beds for most of the time I was there.
