Let us hope for all our sakes, if Brexit does go ahead, that they are successful as the consequence of failure is something we must avoid at all costs.Assuming that the brexit process will continue, the next government will have to do just that.

Memo to self: wear the clan tartan when visiting France: last time I wore it was at a funeral (I was saving it for mine)I loved the photos of May getting the cold shoulder treatment from her "peers" at the EU meeting. I rejoin @Danidl's comments above.
Appreciation of UK residents from the French side:
- The French love the Scots, very long historical ties, "Oh you're Scottish! For a moment I was afraid you might be English..." I have often heard
- The English are considered quaint, eccentric and a little bewildering at times, OK completely bewildering
- the Welsh are admired by the Basques for their rugby and singing
- the Irish tend to be considered as one people not two
- your youth is considered as "lost": rude, vulgar, violent and drunkard - cheap holidays in Benidorm have not improved your image...
No hatred to be seen, even after a six Nations defeat!
Rather a biased analysis. What about Woodruff report. Hargreaves investment analysis. Lyons study ?an analysis of the only real economist who considers Brexit to be a positive, but the LSE.

what is not biased is the economic law of gravity.Rather a biased analysis. What about Woodruff report. Hargreaves investment analysis. Lyons study ?
All dismissed. As normal.
Then they must believe in magicHL distance themselves from either view on political reasons. If you read their investment report their view is long term positive for Brexit.
Woodruff argues similar as does Lyons. Infact there is fairly equal support for Brexit amongst economists, contrary to belief put forward on here or by remainers.
Of course it's long term positive, they have a vested interest in people continuing to invest! Nothing will prompt them to be gloomy and harm their own business.HL distance themselves from either view on political reasons. The snag being that economists of all persuasions so often get it wrong. That's why I ignore their predictions and judge from known and proven factors.Woodruff argues similar as does Lyons. Including both yourself and those of a negative attitude to leaving. Your comment, although valid, cuts both ways. Seems to me though Flecc generally folk on here take any negative predictions as correct, yet dismiss positive ones quite off hand.( as you did with Minford,Hargreaves and Woodruff)Of course it's long term positive, they have a vested interest in people continuing to invest! .
Amazing how the obvious eludes this poster, quite simply brexit is a confidence trick being perpetrated by the elite to take absolute control over the public, abuse their rights and swindle them.Including both yourself and those of a negative attitude to leaving. Your comment, although valid, cuts both ways. Seems to me though Flecc generally folk on here take any negative predictions as correct, yet dismiss positive ones quite off hand.( as you did with Minford,Hargreaves and Woodruff)
There are two sides to this Flecc ,, anyone reading this Forum would think otherwise..
Its in HL,s interest to be non political and say it as they see it. They have built up a reputation of beibg sincere and efficient. They would not risk loosing that reputation by simply pedalling what some folk wish to hear.
Peter Hargreaves has absolutely nothing to gain by saying things he had.. He simply believes it based on 40 years of world wide investing and building HL to become arguably biggest Stock Broker / Financial Consultants in UK with absolutely no political ties. I,m fairly sure he knows 10 times more than anyone posting on here, but you dismiss his arguments...???
Dismissing his,Minford,Lyons and Woodruff is akin to dismissing Alex Fergusson, Harry Rednap, Jamie Carragher and Roy Hodgson in an argument about football..
And exactly what proven factors are you privvy to they are not ? What do you think these people are judging the future on and why assume your assessment is some how more accurate than theirs.?? Yes, nobody really knows, neither you or I or folk mentioned but to dismiss one side because their reasons conflict with personal views is wrong and is the cause of much of the argument.
Folk proclaiming doom simply do not know but why give their arguments more credence than others.
The reason is simple. The negative predictions align with your own.
Agreed, which is why I said economists of all persuasions, not just one side. There are two sides to this Flecc ,, anyone reading this Forum would think otherwise..
Previously answered for you in full. Nor did I ever say they were privy to me or not available to them. And exactly what proven factors are you privvy to they are not ?
They (Minford, Lyons and Woodruff) have achieved celebrity status with brexit.Dismissing his,Minford,Lyons and Woodruff is akin to dismissing Alex Fergusson, Harry Rednap, Jamie Carragher and Roy Hodgson in an argument about football...
Not much of a compliment when The Cheshire Cat, and Tweedledum and Tweedledee have achieved notoriety as "The three Brexiteers."They (Minford, Lyons and Woodruff) have achieved celebrity status with brexit.
Not admired by their peers though.
Agreed but neither is Hargreaves...common thing is they are positive about Brexit...which is kiss of death on here. They (Minford, Lyons and Woodruff) have achieved celebrity status with brexit.

No, the common thing on here is we are well aware there isn't anything positive about brexit, and so far you haven't said anything to prove otherwiseAgreed but neither is Hargreaves...common thing is they are positive about Brexit...which is kiss of death on here.
Lynda? Not much of a compliment when The Cheshire Cat, and Tweedledum and Tweedledee have achieved notoriety as "The three Brexiteers."
I'm sure you can work out which is which!
