But I do live in a village!!. , And I communicate to a global village.
Unfortunately, the word "village" is inextricably linked, via Tom Lehrer, to Sam:

I remember Sam
He was the village idiot
And though it seems a pity, it was so
He loved to burn down houses just to watch the glow
And nothing could be done
Because he was the mayor's son

Ah, yes, the british electorate. That esteemed bunch of observers who support the justice secretary when he says he would resign "if the uk broke the law 'in ways he found unacceptable'". If they were a jury and saville were alive they'd probably elect him as the next prime minister.

Bolton has now risen to 192 COVID cases / 100 000.

But I could go into a pub in Bolton and take no measures. If I went to a country with 21 Cases / 100 000, stayed in isolation in a rural area, I’d be compelled to quarantine for 14 days. ???

Birmingham's up to 90, solihull 68 per 1000. The sun claims people from Bolton wont be allowed to neighbouring area's pubs. The idea of that being enforced (I went to a pub in the shires today where no contact details were taken and me and two friends sat, socially distanced, amidst a throng of unmasked punters milling around until we decided to leave) is as hilarious as most of boris/cummings other epiphanies

As you know, I like simple things, so I’ve simplified the government’s complex, contradictory and poorly thought out advice. Complex things make my brain hurt.

My rule of thumb is, “if a cash register is involved, it’s probably ok. If it doesn’t make money, you probably can’t do it.“

Seems to work if applied to most of their crap.

The bad-faith EU is furious that the UK now has a backstop of its own

The PM is offering Brussels a choice: negotiate fairly, or the whole country will leave without a deal

Bad Faith? from the side that reneges on a treaty and dispenses with the Law?

SNP’s shameless plot to block Boris: Ian Blackford launches bid to WRECK Brexit masterplan
NICOLA STURGEON'S SNP is plotting to block Boris Johnson's Brexit plans amid claims new legislation aimed at breaking deadlocked EU trade talks could leave Scotland's NHS and water supplies open to privatisation.

What is the "Brexit Masterplan"?
Anyone care to offer an explanation?

It has also been suggested a 'rapid acceleration' in coronavirus cases could be linked to the hugely popular Eat Out to Help Out scheme, an Oxford University researcher has said.

The scheme, which involved the government fronting 50 per cent of the bill up to £10 per head at participating restaurants from Monday to Wednesday, has been hailed as the hospitality industry's saviour.

However, a new report from Oxford University public policy researcher Toby Phillips suggests the scheme may have contributed to a 'rapid acceleration' in reported infections in Britain and 'encouraged extravagant levels of eating out'.

Eat out to help out. According to the Rule of Shittpeas this involves a cash register, so cannot possibly be responsible for spreading Coronavirus. Subject closed.

Had I been asked, I'd have found it difficult to split between "young people" and everyone else.

I see quite a lot of older people failing to maintain distances, pushing in, not wearing masks (only required here as of today), etc.

I see quite a lot of younger people wearing masks, generally maintaining distance, and generally being careful. They seem more nimble and therefore better able to walk around, and pass more quickly.

In any case, when you see people close together, it can be difficult to decide whether they live together or not.

If I had to assess which grouping was worst, I simply wouldn't be able to say. And if I were forced to answer, it would as likely be based on prejudice as reality.

You would have to explain that to me ..I haven't a clue what that is!.
You know very well what it is. Here‘s the lyrics. Sing along and mime all of the chorus actions as you sing them.

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree
Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee
To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees
Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody
I met a hula mistress somewhere in Waikiki
Where she was selling pineapple playing ukulele
And when I went to the girl come on and teach me to sway
She laughed and whispered to me yes come tonight to the bay
The lovely beach and the sky
The moon of Hawaii
The rum calypso sarong
We'll all be singing this song
Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree
Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee
To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees
Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody
Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree
Agadoo doo…
