Sorry to hear that. I hope you get your problem sorted. personally, I have a fatalistic approach to my life, so health problems don't really worry me, but I can imagine that your situation must be very worrying.

I was kicked out of hospital with lungs full of blood clots and a prescription for blood thinners. After a couple of weeks of being quite ill, I suddenly realised, there was no follow-up arranged, so I rang the GP to see if I needed any further tests or treatment. He told me to ring 999 if I went dizzy or feint. They had washed their hands of my condition and didn't want to see me anymore. I live on my own, so if anything would happen, I'd be in deep trouble.
Many thanks .. but actually I am not really worried at all. I normally am very optimistic about these things and am now. I suspect it's gut, as that medication is having an effect, but at 69, there could be something else or even both in play. My sister a good 12 years younger , had 1/2 a lung removed at end of February. ..We suspect Radon . They moved her operation up a few weeks , with an expectation of CV19 coming in March. The first I knew ,or indeed herself , was the day before the operation.
Your situation seems more frightening to me, especially living on your own.
Years ago, I had a student come into me apologising for missing a class test ..mid semester two days or three earlier. He was a white as a sheet... the term death warmed up came to mind ... Apparently his Mother could not wake him up or he could not move the day of the test .. he had lost about 1/3 of his blood into a stomach ulcer. No pain at all .Ambulance and multiple transfusions later and presumably a puncture repair internally Had he lived alone, he would never have woken. Perhaps you need to set up a buddy call?.

I have applied, but my application has been rejected.
That's a shame but not to worry I think President Macron may soon be in touch with you. He has heard of your great affection for the French people, and also how much you admire teenagers. He is looking for easy going and laid back people such as yourself to teach fourteen year olds in Paris how to drive the new Citroen Ami.

Great news! the government has concluded and agreement with Japan

Which partner has the most to gain because it is efficiently organised, led and equipped?
Not yet signed, sealed and delivered:

Truss and Motegi agreed the deal “in principle”, the Department for International Trade (DIT) said in a statement, adding that the agreement was expected to increase trade with Japan by an estimated £12.5bn.

England and Wales getting Covid-19 exposure app on 24/09/2020.

Two weeks after Scotland. Months after NI and RoI.

And I expect there will be next to nothing that actually helps over those other apps.

is it a world beater or just a box standard off the shelf job that could have been rolled out months ago?

No idea. But I don't see why they could not have gone with the RoI/NI product at the same time that it was rolled out there. Which would not have precluded launching E/W/S or UK versions (as appropriate) later.

We could have had that many weeks of actual app coverage. If nothing else, we would have gained some experience from doing so.

Maybe it’s an oven ready App?

Over promising and underdelivering again. They are doing it with monotonous regularity.

Who misunderstood whom?

He <Johnson> said “in the last few weeks” he learned his negotiators had discovered there “may be a serious misunderstanding about the terms” of the withdrawal agreement he signed in October.
Are they skilled negotiators, or not? Did legal people go through every clause, or not? Did he sign it, or not?

Did no-one read the contemporary papers (that is, the ordinary newspapers which are available to anyone with a few coins in their pocket) which explained that the Irish Sea border necessitated some sort of checks between NI and rest of UK? Did his tear-them-up-and-put-in-the-bin remark not show that something would be required even if he wanted to ignore it?

He thought he could treat the EU with the same contempt he's shown to everyone else he's encountered in life.

Now he's reached a level of responsibility where that is no longer possible, he's lost and doesn't know how to deal with the situation.

The answer is simple and obvious, resign.

Ordinary men see the world as it is . Great men fashion the world to their image of what it should be. Therefore if he will not accept the world, by definition he must be a great man .. Simple innit?

it is pretty much an oven ready, implementing Apple and Google's Exposure Notification APIs.
They gave up their previous not world beating app. This time, their app advisor said no need for tests as it's already used by many countries.

BJ was warned before he signed that he NI protocol will mean that goods coming into NI or going out of need to be checked and state subsidies paid to NI's companies will need to be scrutinised.
The way out is to set up an independent authority composing of North and South to deal with these issues in case of no deal.

The strategy of relying on the NHS to produce software which exploits Apple’s and Google’s OS and hardware better than Apple & Google themselves was never going to work. The NHS can’t even develop a system which allows my physio to look at the xrays taken 50 yards away in the same building. They were always going to fail and fail big.

Aside the fact that distrust of the greater data collection, and centralised storage of (some) data, meant many would not go near it.

Pretty much as soon as they chose to store and centralise data, they ensured its failure as a widespread app, even had it worked well.

BTW - "Strategy" is far too grand a term for the messed up idiocy that actually prevailed.
