Yes, I've already used DSA in conversation and also DK, for we are at least as disunited since the referendum.

Indeed, but he is still wrong, as much as anything because he uses the factors you praise as a weapon aginst those less advantaged.

To some extent I agree with you in that he does weaponise his ability to communicate and to debate. He has also benefitted from an education at Eton College and Oxford University which, no doubt, has enhanced his skills.

But what is less advantaged? I know people from less privileged backgrounds who could match him in terms of communication and constructing an argument. They are able to do so because they have worked harder that Jacob Rees Mogg to improve themselves. Because Rees Mogg has benefitted from a head-start is no reason to criticise him or say that he is wrong to use his skills as a weapon.

I think sometimes the term, "disadvantage" is a by-word to describe a lazy & slovenly person intent on taking the maximum amount possible in return for as little effort as can be got away with.

I believe that it is the people who fall into this "disadvantaged" category who Rees Mogg wished to tackle, not genuine people disadvantaged by a disability or some other factor beyond their control. Likewise, I suppose that it is the "Disadvantaged" who stand to gain the least from BREXIT.

A testament to the fact that mammals are every bit as capable of evolving highly specialised Parasites, as are all other creatures or indeed plants.
A trait previously though to be virtually the monopoly of Invertebrates.
Mind you, there is a school of opinion that inclines to the belief that he might actually be one of them.

But what represents reality in this context? I have no doubt that you sincerely believe that your ideas and thoughts are rooted in reality. But this is just your opinion based on what you choose to read, listen to and take notice of.
Similarly, I am sure that Jacob Rees Mogg believes that his thoughts represent reality with equal passion.

You can't simply dismiss someone because their perspective is out of kilter with your own. This seems to be a common failing amongst many people on this thread.

My reality says that this will not happen and the EU referendum had nothing to do with the issue of slavery

It was actually derf who introduced slavery into the discussion. I merely pointed out that it was actually abolished over 180 years ago.

You then indicated that it is likely to return due to the EU referendum.

Regardless, I mentioned it only for the purpose of illustrating our differing views on what does and does not constitute reality.

With regards to BREXIT, we each have a differing view on what the "reality" of BREXIT will mean. In the last few posts, you have given a glimpse of where your reality datum is positioned.

there is also the proud English tradition of using subterfuge, changing the subject, focussing on minutia instead of the bigger picture to distract attention from what's really going on. it can be funny, and surrealist, and I can find myself liking it when, say peter cook does it as part of satire. unfortunately brexit isn't funny, and is a bit too real for this degree of post structural relativism. whatever perspective you take on it you remain trapped in a service based economy that ahs just completely pissed of its main customer. and told the world were mainly xenophobic halfwits. neither of which bodes well.
