Why no resignations? come on Starmer , demand they go
Might be a good thing to keep back - the "Even when you knew she/they had done something bad, and admitted it, you didn't take action beyond asking her/them to remove the tweets." ploy?

He said something like there are more important issues to deal with - which also adds to his statesman-like standing.

IT security companies have staff on both offensive and defensive desks.
Same with all antivirus companies.
It wouldn't surprise anyone if one was told that computer viruses are created by the same people who create virus scanners and removal tools.

All too many anti-virus products act in ways which make them functionally indistinguishable from malware.

They screw with your system, slow it down, stops things working, are difficult to remove, etc.

Yes, this is a Chinese source. Yes, it very likely is state-controlled and propaganda. But difficult to disagree:
Trump flip flops all the time and that creates opportunities in the stock market for his buddies.

Nice working for Johnson and May. Not.

The civil service after Brexit: lessons from the Article 50 period
A divided cabinet and battles between parliament and the government revealed fundamental tensions in the civil service’s role and its duty to “serve the government of the day”.

This report says that both Theresa May and Boris Johnson failed to defend the civil service when MPs and commentators questioned its impartiality.

That's really my point , with any luck it should bankrupt the bloody party
Morally bankrupt already
To be fair, there are some good people in the party but they are being sidelined by the party leadership.

Obviously a possibility - as are Israel, Russia, USA, and numerous others.

I did also ask "Why?"
There are so many countries that would like to do us harm for a variety of reasons. I guess you also can't rule out the spotty 17 year old computer generous, tucked away in his bedroom, stuffing himself full of biscuits and trying to hold the world to ransom.

Someone like this
Apparently he made $70 million, trading from home but although a genius he invested it all with a bunch of crooks who stole most of it from him. A book about him came out earlier this week, I dabble a bit with trading so will probably buy it, should be an interesting read.

Yes - I can see why alll sorts of actors might wish to affect us. But to do so in a way which was, it appears, stoppable seems a bit odd.

Either they meant to bring things down seriously - in which case they failed. Or this was some sort of probing attack or warning.

It must be constantly pointed out that the risk to most MPs is only moderate; it’s the risk of passing on infection that’s more significant. Even more so for schools, where it’s the children’s families and spread of infection that’s the problem; young children’s risk is low.

Following this logic we should have a parliament of young children, and to be frank the competence of decision making could well improve as a result, and there would be less absenteeism from hiding in fridges as the handles are too high.

"The risk" - of getting covid-19? Or of dying from it? Or just enduring life-long kidney or lung probelms? It is not as if coming through covid-19 is a guarantee of complete recovery.
