List their names and everyone who enabled this. And at least 14 days quarantine in one of her majesty's establishments, paying for the privilege.

French police turn back private jet of holidaymakers from UK

Party of 10 flew into Marseille-Provence airport to be taken by helicopter to luxury Cannes villa

It’s not going to work in this country. We are pre-programmed with the cntu gene.

Have you seen the latest pictures from New York? They’ve got earth moving machinery digging mass grave which are having coffins stacked in them. It’s horrific.

They are getting reprimanded though.

Northamption Chief officer was firmly put right and now Home Secretary Priti Patel has bent the ear of Northamptonshire's Chief officer who has now apologised and said his language was "clumsy".

She needs to deal with Cambridge now where the idiot police entered a Tesco to inspect the shelves for "non essential items".

Morons imagining laws of their own.
.
They are idiots because for certain individuals, the police would be helped by having greater powers. It’s as though they can’t interpret and apply them sensibly though.

The decision to enter that supermarket will have been taken by a senior officer, highly likely to have been promoted several ranks above his / her capability.

Is Stanley Johnson is also pointing his finger at the PM's progeny?:

On Friday morning Johnson’s 79-year-old father also issued thanks. “Relief is the right word,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, adding: “I feel tremendously grateful obviously on behalf of the family, Boris’s family, my family, family members all over the place, and also, of course, amazingly thankful as well. Thankful for the tremendous outpouring of which we have seen.”

As I understand, it was one family member over too much of the place that has been created those family members all over the place.

Self-evidently promoted above capabaility.

While partner went into Aldi (only one person allowed - but implemented in a very pleasant, friendly way), a police car came into the car park, did a loop round and left. Suspect only doing that to be visible. But they might have had some registrations in mind. Majority were "C" reg (as in Cymru) but didn't notice which areas.

Truly moronic.

Meanwhile in their area as everywhere else, Machine Mart, Screwfix and similar are open to supply a vast range of hobby and gardening items that are very far from essential.
.
Yet the type of outlet which I think could very likely justify themselves, garden centres and nurseries, are closed. At best, delivery available. But we tend not to buy enough at any one place or time to make deliveries worthwhile for them or for us.

Our tomatoes are currently having mixed fortunes (bought just before lockdown) - some got what I as a gardening ignoramous thinks is blight. Would have been good to be able to get replacements. Yet fruit and veg. are things we should be encouraging.

BJ was taken to hospital as a precaution, he was moved into IC as a precaution.
Was he really much at risk? Still, his stay in hospital did not do his popularity much harm while the death toll shoots up. He will be leaving hospital when the current wave subsides. Just in time to declare victory of his lockdown policy.
Johnson doesn't know anything about precautions. Otherwise we'd not have regular "Guess the number of children" competitions.

Easy way to look effective.
To many of us, they actually look like total pillocks.

Even more so after this statement in today's briefing:

  • Asked to comment on Cambridge police saying they would monitor “non-essential” supermarket aisles, he said
We set out a list of shops which could remain open and if the shops are on that list then they are free to sell whatever they have in stock, obviously providing its legal to do so.
What a criminal waste of police time. Can you imagine someone taken to court for buying a non-essential good and explaining they did so following official advice it was OK to do so?

There is no problem. The precedent for a circumstance such as this has been set by the Scotland’s Senior Health Advisor, Christine Calderwood. You do the right thing. You admit that you are a fool and you resign. Especially when staying out at home is so critical to the health and well being of the country at this time. Staying in one place and not visiting relatives or second homes is absolutely central to the government’s message. They answer every question they are asked with Stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives. This cntu has driven a coach and horses through it. The twat has to go so they can salvage a few molecules of credibility, but even that might be too late.
Catherine Calderwood.

The English regulations state:

6.—(1) During the emergency period, no person may leave the place where they are living without reasonable excuse.

(2) For the purposes of paragraph (1), a reasonable excuse includes the need—

(a)to obtain basic necessities, including food and medical supplies for those in the same household (including any pets or animals in the household) or for vulnerable persons and supplies for the essential upkeep, maintenance and functioning of the household, or the household of a vulnerable person, or to obtain money, including from any business listed in Part 3 of Schedule 2;

Basic necessities include food with no further definition, so it is not up to a police officer or other "relevant person" to make judgement on whether food in your basket is essential or not.
Likewise with "supplies for the essential upkeep, maintenance and upkeep of the household".

Just a word of friendly advice. That ** will / has already damaged your lungs. If you or your smack-head mates get Coronavirus, it’s more likely that you will die from it. Stop smoking it, it’s never too late and lungs do recover. The sooner you stop the more your lungs will improve.
Don't discourage the lad, there is a positive side...it improves the gene pool!
additionally it is unlike to damage a putative brain in someone who decides to try it.
They are definitely Darwin Award candidates

I presume the police will not fine you if you are being carried out in a coffin and will simply issue a warning....

I'm surprise that the Fuzz haven't noticed that supermarket toilets in cubicles and urinals are rarely two metres apart and designated using the loo as an "unnecessary Journey"

An essential trip to Ireland today maybe??

Total madness.
Don`t know who`s worse, the Irish for letting them in or the Welsh for letting them go!

The fundamental flaw with the lockdown is all the room it leaves for irresponsible people to independently identify 'loopholes' & so grant themselves exceptions to the published rules. I expected it from less thoughtful callers like this, but not from an actual Cabinet minister.

When Italy had 900 dead in one day, the BBC called it "Italy's darkest day". When Britain reached the same tragic milestone, the BBC's political editor only commented on the "good news" of the PM feeling a tad better...
That figure didn’t include death in nursing homes, of which there were quite a few during that period. I know that nursing home residents don’t count as people because they are old and they aren’t fun anymore, but a death is a death. I can see a big push for DIY style home deaths on the horizon. It’s easier to bury (no pun intended) the death toll that way. They’ll soon have the numbers down below 100 / day.

In other words, anyone can go out at any time, since cash points are open 24/7 and most things can be shown to be essential at times.

Another completely unnecessary and pointless regulation.

All that was ever needed was clear and simple ministerial advice and police commonsense, there was no need to bring law into it with all the complications that brings.
