Did you even read my post? How does swabbing a floor with bleach deal with the external door handle that I quoted the driver has to use to enter the hall to the flats front doors. How can the driver keep himself uncontaminated while keeping his glove exterior uncontaminated so his electronic signature box doesn't get contaminated, passing contamination to the customer whan they use it to sign? That is defeatist... A single pledge floor wipe with bleach, will last a block of flats. Dipping his gloved hand into a pocket containing the wipe..keeps everything sorted in that point. Even a plastic bag with soapy water will work... There is no point in being absolutist here, everything is about probabilities
As for the driver dipping his hand into a bag of soapy water when he has to handle his electronic signature box, stylus, use door handles, carry often heavy items and drive safely!!!!!!!
Remember, 136 drops in his 9 hour driving day, 3.97 minutes per driven delivery. There's no time for all your theoretical hopelessly impractical suggestions so they will never happen. That's not defeatist, its just someone who really knows from very relevant experience telling you what is practical and possible in this very low margin business.
Forget the theory, it's either get the job done or not done at all. With truly adequate precautions the courier companies would have to at least treble their fleets, staffing and pricing to get the deliveries done. And that's without the increase in deliveries that Covid-19 will cause as consumers increasingly buy online rather than go shopping.
I'm not saying don't use containment, I'm saying recognise why it won't work as you expect.
