She's probably right - they have neither the right nor the ability. And yes I agree with you that the union is in massive danger - but let's wait and see. Even if you gave the Scots the vote tomorrow - would they go for it?

They'll already be out of the EU (well soon enough they will) - and they'd be voting to be out of the UK too - with no currency and a balance of payments nobody would want.

Reality might just hit home.

It did last time - and there's an argument that this time it'd be worse.
What a convenient memory you Torys have what stopped Scotland from going for Independence was that they would lose EU membership.
But then you use lies for truths dont you?

For those who can't be arsed to read the whole thing - the final paragraph will do:

We have a job of work making sure Boris doesn’t sell out Brexit. We’ll get to that. For the time being let’s recognise and celebrate what this election reminds us of: that...

... democracy remains the greatest corrective to elitism and tyranny that mankind has ever invented.
democracy is a form of tyranny anyway, we all suffer some disappointment when the votes don't go our way.

You know why they voted do you? You're a mind reader huh?

Who knows how come they voted 55% to remain.

Maybe it was the Russians.

Had a massive miscarriage last night to put power into the hands of a dangerous right wing cult , didn't it?

Plus. For the record - I am not a Tory - I've voted 'tactically' all my life.

He's a professor of information studies - the guy that knows what he's talking about, and he's always right so there's no argument.
Is he the guy that told you the moon landings were all fake? If he told you the moon was made out of cheese would you believe that too :)

Good point. There is much healing that has to take place.
And if he doesn't make every effort to sort out all the messes he has left, he will simply fail to get the healing processes even started. The Ratcliffe family need their plight resolved. "Heal" is just a word until there is real movement.

I have only ever voted Labour, admittedly reluctantly this time. Bit time for us all to move on and give Boris chance to carry out his claims.

Except when for instance it is used by the likes of ultra right wing organisation to usurp power
It can and has been abused for evil in the past, and now the present.
Is that really democracy? Surely not, its a distortion of it. Hitler for example wasnt actually democratically elected. Whereas, IMHO, both Brexit and Boris have been decided on democratically.
