Banks buy government bonds from creditworthy states. There isnt any profit in being bailed out by the world bank (something the uk isnt entirely unfamiliar with)
A short splurge of spending on the credit card will bring smile on many faces.

I’d say the final nail in ten coffin for Corbyn’s manifesto is his insistence on paying this waspy pension thing.

I am not completely au fait with it but I do know that it will be judged on after the election. When the appeal is heard.

The clever, normal answer to the question is let the courts decide. Move on.

But no. Corbyn has decreed he must be hit on the head over and over again in an uncosted amount of money that will cost more than the entire Education budget.

When Blair was elected his mantra was education, education, education.

Now it’s boomers, boomers, boomers.

Do they really think this will win votes?

He doesnt care about winning votes. He simply acts on idealism. He sees that Waspi women had money stolen from them, and believes they should be compensated. Overall, its a vote looser. Yes, some will vote for it wanting the cash(and in some cases justified) but bulk of population dont see Waspi women as a deserving group,so they vote against it.
To be fair the pension changes should have been introduced to change as population did but John Major, then Tony Blair and all succesive PMs thought differently. Some women (I believe the ones born in 55?) have seen their state pension age rise by 6 years.

So a PM with principles is a vote loser?.

No. You misunderstand.

He thinks it's righteous. Not a vote winner.

Just something he stands for.

And that is the problem.

He is intrinsically right. But intrinsically not a vote winner for anyone with a brain. This is not a vote winner for this election.

It's retarded.

It blows his grey book out of the water.

It's so frustrating.

Suppression of the Media is the new Tory strategy
In the Telegraph
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/11/28/general-election-debate-channel-4-climate-change-jeremy-corbyn-live/
Boris bottled it, Gove turned up uninvited and was turned away.
The show was a leader's debate so naturally he was turned away
The Tory spokesman told the following obvious lie as though people are stupid enough to believe it: "We are deeply disappointed that Channel 4 News has conspired with Jeremy Corbyn to block the Conservatives from making the case for tackling climate change and protecting the environment in this evening’s debate." No one blocked you, you lying moron. Your leader was invited but declined to attend.

The cowardly Johnson hides behind yet another lie
Interestingly no comment from the Torys on the Farage there was an ice sculpture substitute for Fromage too

Confirming what oldgroaner has said (many times :) ) :

Eleven wealthy American donors who have given a total of more than $3.7m (£2.86m) to rightwing UK groups in the past five years have been identified, raising questions about the influence of foreign funding on British politics.

The donations have been given to four British thinktanks that have been vocal in the debate about Brexit and the shape of the UK’s future trade with the EU, and an organisation that claims to be an independent grassroots campaign representing ordinary British taxpayers.

Many of the donors have also given significant sums of money to a series of like-minded American groups which, like the British organisations, promote a free market agenda of low tax, lightly regulated business and privatisation of public services.

Critics allege that the British groups, which include the Institute of Economic Affairs, Policy Exchange and the Adam Smith Institute, have not been fully transparent about who funds them.

So Corbyn has made a decision nearly as bad as voting for Brexit in the first place.
What a surprise, he's dumb enough to still believe in it.
Extraordinary, but true.
The key point is he is trying tp bring people together by offering a less harmful Brexit and a referendum.
That is what is getting my vote

For me, the WASPI issue reconfirmed just how reckless Labour is with regards to spending.

WASPI will cost fifty eight thousand million pounds. That level of spending was planned and decided upon in the space of 48 hours. That is reckless. Properly thought out spending of that level can not happen in such a short space of time. If they can do that, what the hell is going to happen if ever they formed a government? Johnson is still the least worst of the options available.

Today is Black Friday. Let us remember those who have given their lives on previous Black Fridays. Those who have died, fighting over discounted toasters and 4” unbranded tablet computers, in Argos stores across this land. We shall remember them.

OK, back on your heads. There’s an economy that needs growing.

I could well be wrong, I know that. But the easy, speedy and thoughtless way in which Labour commits thousands of millions is worrying.

I think Johnson is going to win. It’s not a thought that I relish, but I don’t see it as being quite as bad as Corbyn controlling the country’s finances. We shall see.

Not by million miles, why do you keep deluding yourself that the liar is trustworthy?
He will rat on you the same as he does the others who have trusted him.
This is how rogue states come into being, voters who fear for their bank balances prepared to support proven villains in the hope they personally won't suffer and to hell with anyone else.
Every tin pot dictator in history has relied on unquestioning support from the greedy and gullible, who hold their noses, when they are told the other politician is to be feared because he will rob them.
And who tells them that?
The media owned by the bad guys of course
As soon as they are in power, what do they do?
The very thing they warned suckers the other fella would do of course.
You are about to get the government you deserve if you vote for a known villain.
The only winner will be Putin, who has made a good return on his investments.

Here is the plot of your little black comedy

Boris will suddenly decide that the deal he has allegedly got has been thrown out by the EU
He will say no worries we have an oven ready deal with the USA ready to sign
Kiss goodbye to the NHS
Watch the welfare state be dismantled "because we cant afford it"
Watch wages and working conditions drop to third world standards
Watch poverty soar and the market crash.
Watch unrest break out among those on the receiving end.

When it does, remember this is what you "knew you were voting for"

That's odd when Johnson's intentions are downright evil and bought and sold with foreign donations from guess where and who?

I am doing my best not to spend a single penny today.

For a number of reasons. Not least, the assumption (until proved wrong) that all BF deals are in their interests and not ours. But also, in my own very little way, a message that I shall not fall into their trap. Undone by the millions who do.

I've just bought some batteries that I will always need for 6 quid. They are usually 11 and a pair of these

for £44

There are some bargains out there but it's mainly old stock they want to shift before Christmas. I don't care if the shoes are old stock. I buy about three pairs of these a year anyway. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
