I caught a few seconds of someone trying to explain a new way of doing one of the opinion polls yesterday. As usual, the explanation appeared to justify why the poll was much, much better than previous methodologies.The conclusion of the YouGove poll appears to be a 68 seat majority for Boris.
It will be interesting to see how this works out.
Of course, they would say that, wouldn't they.
The pollsters haven't been telling us, ahead of elections, how unreliable their polls were - election by election - for the century or more they have been running. Each time, they seem just to claim how much better they now are than in the past. Different approaches, polls of polls, etc. Only afterwards do they admit the problems.
