I felt it my duty to report on this late breaking news story straight from the Waterford Whisperer.
"CONSERVATIVE MP Jacob Rees-Mogg will today put his incendiary claim that he would have had ‘more common sense’ than the people who perished in the Grenfell blaze to the test, by being placed in a council flat and set on fire.

72 people lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire in June of 2017, through ‘foolishly complying’ with the instructions of firefighters to stay in their homes, rather than bravely dashing out into the flames like Rees-Mogg claimed he would have done during a radio interview yesterday.

As such, this heroic theory of Mogg’s will be put to the test at a time when he least expects it and in the middle of the night, so that he has exactly the same opportunities to escape as the Grenfell victims.

“Ideally, the test will take place in a building which is a pure death trap thanks to cost-cutting measures put in place by the Tory government,” said a spokesperson for angry people.

“The trick now is to get Jacob to a council flat; not going to be all that easy, as he tends to not go anywhere near poor people if at all possible. But when we do, he’ll have an ample opportunity to show how much common sense he has in a situation like that”.

The plan received overwhelming support from around the world, with only Rees-Mogg and those depending on him to make them rich through Brexit opposing the notion."

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall in that Russian meeting when they realised that spending heaps of cash on a nuclear arsenal wasn't nearly as effective as just sticking the cash in the back pockets of Western politicians.

You really struggle when you should say "Sorry I was wrong" don't you? so instead you dig the hole you made for yourself deeper even when the water is coming in.
You were wrong, admit it.

And you have the cheek to post this
"
I come back in here wade through yours and OG's cut and paste and think WTF, I, ve just wasted 10 minutes of my life reading this rubbish. Cant you just try and at least cut and paste something remotely interesting or relevant.
Half of country is submerged and all youtwo can find is a Bridge closed for 6th formers and government have changed rules about recording data on deactivated guns. A new low. Utter rubbish.

Doesn't it penetrate that we feel the same way when you come on here preaching your "holier than thou" nonsense?
Yep, you are correct, I could agree with you but then we, d both be wrong and you, d still be an idiot.
The "children" were not locked anywhere, even Oyster pointed that out to you.
By the way, I did agree with your post re what a stupid waste of time parties trying to out bid each other with borrowed money, money next generation would be paying back. The last few years has shown all the faults in our system. One of the worst being MP's making promises and spending plans they either could never meet or no intention of doing so.
Our current mob promised 200,000 new homes for first time buyers. Number acheived. Zero. They all do it. Listen to the Green's spending plan. Its sheer insanity.
You do talk some sense OG, but a lot of bo!!ox too. I, d put a smiley on but they aint working...
You are a pedantic determined fecker too.(which I actually see as a positive characteristic.)
Dont change OG.
Take care.

Lets get this straight shall we? You posted this

"The "children" were not locked anywhere, even Oyster pointed that out to you."

And I pointed out to you that I never said they were.
When you made your original attack I posted this reply

"Just one little fact you missed,
I didn't interpret the article at all, simply posted it and you as usual jumped to conclusions according to your agenda "

All this after I raised the matter as a joke. I didn't confirm "the children were locked in" did I? as it happens it turned out that essentially you were wrong about it as the chidren were isolated and excluded at the request of the Conservatives.
You have made a big deal out of the matter and more than once called me an idiot.
Why do you keep doing this, on the one hand you complain that I post Garbage and respond with several Garbage posts in response to what was after all merely a humorous aside?
Why do you continue with this attempt to score points all the time?

Curiously, Noah obeys the voice of authority, viz. God, in building the ark, getting families and animals aboard, and disembarking when God tells him to.

That is, he follows what authority tells him to do. Which in so many ways is exactly what believers expect us all to do.

Yet JRM then goes and pronounces that obeying authority is only for those lacking in common sense. Or arrogance.

Because he follows the tenets in his Father's Book "The Sovereign Individual" where the Elite are not governed by the same laws as the plebs.

This is by far the worst possible news today
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/british-steel-sale-to-chinese-would-antagonise-america-pmhdz992j
"
Chinese group to buy British Steel for £70m

Bought and sold for Chinese Gold
And for such a pittance too.
What insanity is this?

Let's just hope there is never a need to defend ourselves, we will be reduced to looking for yew trees to make longbows.
What happened to "Global Britain"?

At this rate Corbyn's plan to nationalise things would have been very cheap !

There was a time when the boast was

"Multicultural Britain the envy of the World!"

This has become

"Britain, under new Multicultural Ownership"

that's what will happen if we subject our manufacturing sector to WTO market forces.
Outside the EU, we'll have to compete against worldwide state owned enterprises, factories are not worth much if they can't rely on a low wage workforce.
The Chinese buy it for government continued support in R&D of high quality steel products.

And when they tire of that shut it down.

I can't believe they have made Keith Vaz step down.

He's guilty of forgetting a few things.

This country.

Farage pledges not to fight Tory held seats and to go after the Labour vote.

Not ideal, but if it keeps Labour out, there is some benefit to the plan.

How long has Sam Gyimah been a LibDem? I thought he was the Minister for Space Rockets in the Tory party.

I reckon he's got a deal. Perhaps some tory donors promise to pay for the 300 lots of deposits.

Why is everyone getting a cock-stand about airlines “tankering”? It’s always happened and some people do it with their cars.

If they want to protest about pollution and climate change, they should get down to the local maternity unit and stop people squeezing out babies.

The removal of child benefits, free child care places and parent & child parking spaces would help the environment enormously too.

Maybe. Hopefully he’ll hurt Labour.
At the current rate, voting intentions for the BXP fell already from 14%-15% in the summer down to 9% today and would continue to fall, may be to below 5% on election day whatever Farage does or says.

As for JC, Farage does not have to do anything, and it's in his interest that JC does well. At best, JC may deny BJ a majority, I can't see JC win this GE.
