to be fair, both DC and JC did not understand the implications, all the way until the 2017 elections, as well as they do now.
Back in that time, who knew about the A50 process and NI customs border?
After the result of the referendum was known, I know many don't but a lot of people felt quite enthusiastic about a future outside the EU.
Well everyone in Ireland knew about the NI Border..and whats more our public representatives , ambassadors etc, made sure that senior British politicans knew also.
The Article 50 process SHOULD have been well familiar with the expert civil servants in the UK Government. But then who needs experts?.
Ignorance of the law is no defence.

Boris has apparently told tusk not to grant a delay beyond October 31st
He should be arrested and charged with dereliction of public duty immediately and removed from office

Perhaps, I am being over sensitive, but on BBC News this minute is a report of a horrific event, where 39 people were found dead in a lorry in Essex a few hours ago. The initial assumption, without evidence, was that it came from Holyhead and hence Ireland was responsible. The speaker ,a Baroness Butler? Chair of a HoL anti slavery committee spent a period of time suggesting that Ireland was at fault. However the evidence was released during the interview that the lorry had actually come from Holland to Turrock . Now it would have been appropriate for her to have acknowledged the error and acknowledge Ireland's innocence, but of course this was not acknowledged.
This of course pales into insignificance compared to the deaths of 39 Bulgarians.

Ken Clarke has said if Boris brings in a one line bill for a general election MPs will amend it to reduce the voting age to 16
That’s worrying. Anyone under 30 can’t be trusted to take a dump and get it right. Children should not have the vote.

You don’t know!

What are these “custom made trade deals?” What are we going to sell? What will be able to do, that we can’t do now? Custom made trade deals: just hollow words the same as Brexit means Brexit.

We aren’t in the Euro.

There won’t be any saved membership money. Remember we have spent 20% of it already off-setting just SOME of the Brexit economic damage. You won’t be seeing any of it.

So you didn’t know what you voted for. The above proves it.

Brexit is going to be a disaster. Face up to it.

Big-Enders and Little-Enders (opposing positions of two factions in the nation of Lilliput. The Big-Endians, who broke their boiled eggs at the big end, rebelled against the king, who demanded that his subjects break their eggs at the little end.)

Public Referendum / Parliament Big Enders Bill vote 52% – 48%

We could just have Bercow simply toss a coin at each stage... instead of all this voting malarky

Heads or Tails: The Impact of a Coin Toss on Major Life Decisions and Subsequent Happiness
And you think our MPs discussing it, arguing about it and then not actually deciding would be anymore likely to get correct decision. With the coin toss its 50/50 they get decision correct, which ia actually way better than MPs.
Going on recent events once they decide, well we, ll know what we shouldnt be doing, but they, ll do it anyway, one day.... On Ground Hog day...

Horrific indeed, but not Bulgarians. As EU citizens they can walk freely into the UK and wouldn't risk a trip in a sealed container.

The probability is they were part of the current Syrian/Afghani/African migration and paid for their fateful container trip on a Bulgarian registered truck.

Point taken. The Bulgarian connection could well be very weak.

It’s not the first time something like this has happened and it will happen again. There will be a disaster in the channel this winter.

The issue needs tackling at source.

On Channel 4 news just now Peter Oborne slagged off Boris and Cummings using journalists for spreading lies and propaganda.
Far worse he says since the current squatters moved into 10 Downing Street!
