A time limited backstop is useless.. even BJ agreed with that. A Backstop with agreed technological targets and performance guarantees is not. Even the installation of an agreed external validation body ,similar to the Weapons subcommittee on the GFA,would be fine. Is it not about time that the UK government cane up with proposals which have a chance of being acceptable?.
you know that if the backstop includes technological targets, then the problem goes away.
Ask yourself why the backstop is not built around technological targets.

It's a punishment. It's not necessary at all imo.

Ireland is being used as a pawn in this and due to history they would rather give us a bloody nose even if it means they get a broken leg.

Ultimately what does the world want? Frictionless trade. I don't think the EU can do that due to it's micro management. I actually think it opposes free trade.

Displaying your usual ignorance free trade with places like China would destroy our economy
But that requires understanding beyond your pay grade.

The Brexit Party regard lying as normal

Nathan Gill MEP was campaigning in the recent Brecon and Radnorshire by-election when he made the wild claim that schools in the area were forced to only source their food from Germany and France because of the EU's "procurement arrangement".
He said that this was preventing them from buying from local farmers.

Oh Dear! how stupid was that?

Brexit Party lie blown out of the water

Think about it for a minute (if you need that long, a few seconds should suffice). If the old man were off the internet, he wouldn't be able to post insults or anything else.
Fingers, what are you maundering on about? you are only 41, that isn't old!

Because the UK never asked, never put proposals, never made suggestions. The Backstop is the Backstop a method of ensuring no hard border on the Island of Ireland. It is for the UK to define how they can meet that requirement while having customs divergence.
Our view is show us the technology working then diverge.
It would have been reasonable for the UK side to have requested a mutually agreeable team of arbitrators, since the ECJ would not have been acceptable.
What I continue to say is that if the UK were to develop that strand in the Future arrangements strand, the problem would have been sortable... I expect that is what A. Merkel was hinting at.

There is no denying Theresa May made a dogs breakfast of negotiating.

No. You just proved that you are simply going to respond to anything you think I post with insults and nonsense. Even if it's not me posting....

What a silly man you are.

Sitting in your soiled pants, mashing away at things that aren't even there...I feel sorry for you that this is what passes for your weekend.
