Its never been actually walking away that benefits anyone, plainly it does not, rather its the threat of doing so and other side thinking you might if deal isnt good enough. The EU has known from the start we had no intention of ever walking away, this being proved when no deal was removed from table on our side.

Walking away is far removed from the withdrawal of ever doing so.
We should have given impression we were willing to walk away whatever the reality was.
You dont walk in a car show room and say I, m buying that car, whatever the price and whatever it comes with, or doesnt. Unless, you are showing off ofcourse, in which case salesman will bend you over nearest desk... Metaphorically ofcourse.
