Almost all due to the relative drop in house prices.

In other words - statistics lie.
nonsense. GDP is not house price dependent.
It's measured against a basket of major currencies or USD.

Things are getting more and more interesting (as if that was even possible):

a lot of kippers are flogging to Farage's new party. I can't see BXP beating Labour in the next GE.
JC will either give you andrex soft brexit or he'll put brexit on indefinite hold.

I don’t know why the police are so reluctant / unable to remove them
It's lack of cells. Huge numbers of police stations in London have been closed by cutbacks, in my own Borough, the largest in London where we used to have around a dozen police stations we now have one. With half a dozen cells that has to serve a fixed plus transient population of around half a million, hopelessly inadequate.

Our position had got so bad that they've built a detention centre with a block of cells to partially make up for the losses, but there's not the facilities to deal with sudden large numbers of detentions.

Darn I've gotten a horrible feeling I might be wrong here.

Hang on I will therefore consult my 'what to do when you're wrong' file.

....... and another Theresa May success story during her time as Home Secretary.

Does anyone know where all the leaders are? We have just been granted a generous extension to A50, London is experiencing severe disruption and everyone seems to have cleared off. Shouldn't they be working day and night to make the best use possible of the A50 extension the EU granted us? There was no obligation on them to do that and it seems like the cycle of failure is starting to come around yet again. Squander time, beg for more time, squander time, beg for more time........

Maybe we have done something to deserve this.

It's a basic economic reality - less tariffs/interference means lower prices - you're cutting out the middle man (the government).

But - seeing as you're addicted to having a government (and the socialists around here want nothing BUT a government) - then you won't understand.
What I understand is that what you are advocating is not simply reducing tariffs, but lowering food and other standards and undermining the welfare state and working conditions in the pursuit of profit.
Lets face it Brexit was never intended to benefit the public at large was it?
It wanted to take power away from people and the Government replacing it with corporate power.
Who do you think you are kidding? the whole thing is designed to make the lot of average people worse financially and render them servile, poor and willing to take jobs on any terms and under any conditions, it is an attempt to dismantle all the progress made in the last 75 years.
Frankly Brexit is dangerous, as once these disadvantages hit home you will find the people are more inclined to be violent than subservient.
But in the meantime your squalid little right wing conspirators will have cleaned out the national treasure and resources into offshore accounts, won't they?

Well you collectively did. You bought a "pig in a poke" as we say, fancier people would say " a decision was entered into without due diligence."
But to your main point, the UK establishment is ostrich like , they dodged the bullet this time but are still dazzled by the light of the oncoming train, so they freeze. Even the EU parliament referred to it.

You’re right. I think they view 31/10 as ages away, so they can take it easier and not bother themselves until late summer.
