True socialist quite probably, communist not so sure.Sweden is already quite close to being truly Communist, their public like it and they are very high in the national happiness ratings.
.
Quite right, that's your job!Don't be daft.
Yeah! A daft bigger...Correction "Bigger"
Don't be daft.
Sweden has the smallest salary gap between highest and lowest in the world.True socialist quite probably, communist not so sure.
I don't think that's what Mcdonnell is wanting. Or Corbyn for that matterSweden has the smallest salary gap between highest and lowest in the world.
It has the closest standard of living across all society.
It has extremely high personal taxation to fund one of the most generous and equitable welfare states that has ever existed. This further evens out incomes.
That is the closest any nation has ever come to practicing the Marxist/Leninist maxim:
"From each according to their ability, to each according to their need".
And Sweden is very close indeed to that, remarkably with the full consent of the overwhelming majority of the population. Thus they've proved the core element of communism can work if it's properly tried, rather than used as an excuse for dictatorship.
So I'm being far from daft Fingers, perceptive would have been a better word.

I would equally like to be far from "daft fingers" also ,Can that be arranged?.Sweden has the smallest salary gap between highest and lowest in the world.

Which makes one wonder why they have a populist extreme right political party gaining popularity (26%)... Maybe it is the weather? More likely good old fashioned racism driven by the fear of being "overrun" by migrants.Sweden has the smallest salary gap between highest and lowest in the world.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Baker_(politician)Did anyone see Steve Baker on Politics Live prog today, he seemed to get rather flustered. Apparently he gave out unlawful information to MPs in the Torie Party during the Referendum campaign. He said it was not his fault, as he was acting in good faith and the fault should be placed on the person (he said it was a he) who gave him this illegal advice. When asked to name this person he would not, does anyone have any idea who this person is?
There is this right inclined faction in all countries, and it can reach a maximum of about a third usually. The various Le Pen parties in France where you are being an example, and there's similar factions in Austria, The Netherlands and Germany of course.Which makes one wonder why they have a populist extreme right political party gaining popularity (26%)... Maybe it is the weather? More likely good old fashioned racism driven by the fear of being "overrun" by migrants.
Another disastrous politician. How many A-levels does John Major have?
how many a levels do you have and how much bearing does it have on your judgement? i have postgraduate qualifications and in some tangible intangible way i dont think id be able to do what i do without it. BUT most - probably 70% or more - of what makes it possible to do my job is a result of work experience. And i know some complete clods who excelled at uni because it is all in the end about translating theory into practice.Another disastrous politician.
Poor Baker, he got Mogged!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Baker_(politician)
In February 2018, as a minister in the Department for Exiting the European Union he was forced to apologise after inaccurately claiming that civil servants had deliberately produced negative economic models to influence policy. Answering questions in the House of Commons, Baker confirmed a claim by the Eurosceptic backbencher Jacob Rees-Mogg that Charles Grant, the Director of the Centre for European Reform, had reported that Treasury officials "had deliberately developed a model to show that all options other than staying in the customs union were bad, and that officials intended to use this to influence policy". Audio then emerged of the event in question, which showed the Grant had not made the comments attributed to him. By the time the audio was released by Prospect Magazine, the Prime Minister's spokesman had already backed Baker's claims. The spokesman later said that Baker had made a "genuine mistake".
On 8 July 2018, Baker resigned following the resignation of the Brexit Secretary, David Davis after working on a Brexit white paper which Baker said "did not accord with what was put to the cabinet" a few days earlier.
Nothing novel about him then?Another disastrous politician.
When someone with some sort of standing makes a significant claim about an important issue, it is absolutely their responsibility to make sure it is right before they open their mouths.Poor Baker, he got Mogged!

There would be a big market opportunity for sales of swords made with Chinese Steel! When someone with some sort of standing makes a significant claim about an important issue, it is absolutely their responsibility to make sure it is right before they open their mouths.
It is this lack of responsibility that is behind so much of the current political scene. If people really did have to properly fall on their swords, we'd probably see them being ever so much more careful with truth. (Or a very messy floor.)
