Right ,the facts of the tiff between OG ,Fingers ,Zlathan. The BBC is currently broadcasting it....
The entire debate of 13th. March shown in sequence has Guy V. Making assertions about Nigel F. These assertions were robust and suggested that he had an interest in disrupting the EU and an interest in making money from it. After a number of other speakers presented their views Nigel F had a right of reply,..which is the piece presented in the RT segement. In this he with some level of humour to refute Guy, position.
The Guardian reported this correctly.
No lies, no bad faith...
Both parties OG on one side, and the combined forces on the other side, need to kiss and make up
I, ll make up but kissing OG, a fate worse than a fate worse than death. No thanks.

What happens if EU dont extend art 50??
And assume they give the requested 12 weeks, what happens if Mays deal collapses again...
You couldnt make this up.. Well Guardian could...
I cant understand the process by which the deal is becoming more attractive without changing, beer goggles perhaps? At this rate in the 2 year extension should see May's deal with complete support from all factions of house. Thats clever. Perhaps bits of it are just disappearing.

I would not take it as a done deal that the EU council will give any extension. Both France and the Czech Republic have indicated reservations. Just as anyone in the UK can get access to EU debates, the reverse is true, and there is no indication that 12 weeks will accomplish anything. EU parliament people will have been following these debates very closely Picking up on that same EU parliament ,had the UK voted for a fresh referendum ,that would be a game changer.
Now Ireland ,for obvious reasons would wish an extension ,. ...
. incidentally the Guardian made up nothing in reference to the debate of yesterday.

May I point out a slight drawback? we are down to one plan already, and only one person wants that
It's all very democratic on the "one person, one vote" principle
TM is the one person and she has the one vote.
looked at logically she can't fail to get her plan accepted can she.?

Sorry, just my sense of humour getting out of hand, horrifically it is too close to the truth for comfort.
My reading of it is that 30% of the HoC support it as being proportionate, 30% would reject it because it is not hard Brexit and 30% because it is too hard Brexit.

Exactly what OG and I have been saying for a long time, her deal will probably be accepted in the end.

Not because we like it, we don't, but because there's little other choice.

Perhaps not but the premise of the entire article supplied by OG was to discredit Farage. Also, its common knowledge Farage is against EU granting an extension, Guardian would know that but were still willing to publish as they did along with the financial details. It was presented not as one side of an argument but as infornation about Farage. It wasnt. It was poor journalism and latched onto by anti Farage types to back up their own agendas.
The Guardian is no better than DM just different politics.
As far as I, m concerned subject closed. Nobody will convince me Guardian (or OG) doesnt have an agenda to push. Neither are impartial.

But back to the deal..
I still dont see how we will be in any different position in 12 weeks or years. We will still have same choices, same deals, same people same no deal. Whats going to change to make anything different? We should do whatever we are planning (not planning) on doing in 2 years (or is it 12,weeks) on 29th. Bite the bullet. Get it done.

Yes, I said same. But not sure now. The same people will still vote against it. One group to try and force no deal the other to try and force a remain. That will not change.
The remainers see the delay as time to achieve remain, the ERG see it as time to push for no deal. (they just dare not say so)
I suspect EU will see it same and wont grant extension... But I wont be rushing to betfreds.
I think we, ll get no deal now.
And I notice JC deserted ref2 in its hour of need.
Momentum has lost it... and its momentum. Goes against some physics rules. Thought KE and momentum had to be maintained in any exchange. JC hasnt read his science books..

Unless ERG soften their stance and support may to prevent what they see as brexit being negated. In two years time either route i think takes us back into the eu due to increased economic integration and the 08 crash and austerity becoming a distant memory

The Daily Mail's spin on our current situation..????
Is it that far from the truth??
Only about a million miles! he said this
"The paragraphs above are taken from my column on July 1, 2016, a few days after the result was declared. I warned you back then that the fix was already in, that embittered Remainers would do everything in their power to stop Brexit, either by holding a second referendum or forcing a General Election."

That is utter rot intended for the simple minded to lap up to excuse their complicity in this debacle.

I warned you back then that there was no chance that the incompetents in Government understood the difficulties they faced, had no plan, and the EU held all the cards.
The result was inevitable.

I was right

The Daily Mail article is propaganda of the worst kind trying to avoid accepting the blame for making a stupid decision without understanding or caring about the consequences
Why do leavers still cling to the blatant lie that they are not responsible through incompetence , lies and deceit for the situation we are in?
Nobody else is

If you voted for Brexit you are an accomplice after the fact not a victim.
Remainers are not responsible for your disaster, you were warned.
It's no good blaming anyone else for your balls up

How can one describe a man who after the entire parliament votes and decides to ask for an extension to the leaving date from the EU , goes to lobby right wing Governments in the EU to oppose it?

Who would dream of working against the expressed will of Parliament with such devotion?
Guess.

And what is that man guilty of?
Guess again.

The European Union
Nation results
England - Leave 53.4% Remain 46.6%

Northern Ireland - Leave 44.2% Remain 55.8%

Scotland - Leave 38.0% Remain 62.0%

Wales - Leave 52.5% Remain 47.5%

What worries me here is the word "Nation". I thought the "United" Kingdom was a nation? If NI and Scotland are nations, surely their parliament has the last word in whether those nations leave the EU or not? Isn't that how democracy works?

Here is a likely possibility for you

The EU will only agree to an extension if Mr's May's deal is approved next time.

Circumsrances have changed since then but I thought at time deal would scrape through. Cant see it now, dont think we will get an extension, strongly suspect no deal.
