Living off money invested on your behalf... Where do you think your pension comes from, be it state, draw down, annuity or invested pension pot. Its all paid for by capititalism and some kind of investment.
You are quite a sad old git OG.
I did actually point out that is din't need some smart ass to explain how pensions work, but it was too good a bait for you not to rise for it, wasn't it.
Yes I am indeed a sad old git, if you ever find yourself in the situation where your wife is Dementia sufferer like mine, let me know how you get on.

We, ve all got problems OG, being nasty on here changes nothing.
What does " that is din't need" actually mean?
And you obviously did need an explanation of where pension payments come from if I translated your ramblings correctly.
But good luck with your wife. Mine finished cancer treatments about 6 months ago.

On question time last night one of the questions was about prepping in case of a no deal Brexit. The questioner wanted to know if they had started storing food etc at home. None of the panelists answered the question directly. What do you all think of prepping for Brexit? Is it a waste of time or a sensible precaution in view of the hopeless mess the govt have made of it so far.

I think its a bluff we have to go through for EU. If we roll over and say we cant have a no deal, EU will respond accordingly. EU should be just as, if not more, frightened of no deal as UK.

I don't generally do anything to prepare for brexit because I think we will eventually have to have BRINO or rejoin.

My wife does a few hours a week voluntary work visiting and helping to support people with dementia where she can. I’ve never experienced a family member having dementia, but from what my wife tells me, I know it can be difficult.

You can be an infuriating old git on here, but I bet you take good care of your wife. Best wishes to both of you.

Then stop being nasty and congratulations on finding an error, A person of average intelligence could have worked I that i meant "I didn't need"
And you in turn posted this? "We, ve "

As I said earlier on the subject of pensions, keep your explanations, i don't need advice from amateurs that flatter themselves.

Only an idiot would offer "Good luck" as a response to being told someone has Dementia, sure enough one did.

Well exactly what wish would you want me to make?
That was a genuine remark and only you can take it as an insult.

Thank you for that, what I fear and no doubt this doesn't make me the most cheerful company , for which I apologise, is being the first to go.
Pass on my thanks to your wife for her kindness and humanity.

I will do thanks.

I’m sure that we all have thoughts along those lines, I know that I do.

I don't regard it an an insult, simply a flippant and inappropriate response 50 Hertz made a far more appropriate response.
I'm pleased to hear about your wife's good news a succesful out outcome from cancer treatment is , as I know from personal experience, a huge relief.

Poor little fingers...

I'll explain: a lie would be to say "there is no such thing as free money" but I didn't say that did I? And we all know who the sad little person who calls people liars is, don't we? Celui qui dit est celui qui fait...

thank you for not insulting me

This thread has scaled new depths. Me and OG arguing over "good luck" and fingers/AK arguing over "free money" and its source.
And AK proving he can speak rubbish in two languages. Brilliant.

Flecc says he did same thing, or similar, so I, m not sure either.
I cant see how anyone can criticise individuals for taking advantage of schemes, accounts etc etc. Its common sense.
AK wasn't criticising, he was being pedantic. 50Hertz said he got free money for two hours work, so AK pointed out it wasn't free if two hours work was involved. It was so much per hour.
