Brexit, for once some facts.

Yep, knew this wouldn`t last long,
our Winston Jr. has just got splattered across the concrete,

cue the impending $hitstorm directed at the officer involved

Met police officer could be charged for ramming moped
A Met Police officer who knocked a teenager off a moped while employing a new ramming tactic could face criminal charges.

The officer carried out the so-called tactical contact to stop the 17-year-old from riding dangerously.

The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was admitted to hospital with serious head injuries but later discharged.

A decision is due over whether evidence gathered by the police watchdog should be passed to prosecutors.

If he is prosecuted, the officer could be charged with actual bodily harm or grievous bodily harm.

The Met could also decide if there is a case to answer for misconduct, which could result in dismissal

I read that article Tommie and was going to post something. It was inevitable that this was going to happen and it perfectly illustrates how chinless & spineless the leaders of key services are. If the officer is to be punished for anything, it should be for not slamming his car into the scumbag even harder.

From the Telegraph this morning
BBC news says:

The Telegraph – one of the few still pushing for a hard Brexit, and unhappy with the agreement May reached with Brussels – is pulling no punches. Also on its front page are quotes from various comment pieces, including one labelling May’s actions “incompetence on a monumental scale” and another that offers the brutal assessment: “Mrs May has a high threshold for humiliation”.

It's worked, the Met has slashed the number of incidents of this phone snatching by moped riders. As far as I'm concerned they can carry on knocking them off their mopeds. I very much doubt the officer will be punished in any way since he was using official policy tactics.
.
I’m pleased to hear that the tactic is working. That’s good news.

However, even though the officer used official tactics, it’s up to him to justify deploying them. Was it justified? Was a potentially life threatening course of action proportional to the suspected offence (is it really satisfactory to risk killing a person in order to detain then on suspicion of the theft of a phone worth a few hundred pounds)? These are all of the questions the nay-sayers, chinless wonders, jelly-backs and lick-spittles will be asking with the benefit of hindsight as they emerge from under their rocks. Away from the heat of battle and in a sterile environment with time to dissect each element, the answers start to look very different.

If anyone is to be punished or investigated, the process should start with Theresa May and Tom Winsor, for they crippled the police with their “reforms” which has led to less effective policing.

This is entirely the fault of the less than useless Theresa May during her time as Home Secretary.

Windrush: BBC Article
Sir Amyas Morse, head of the National Audit Office, said: "The treatment of people who had a legitimate right to remain in the UK raises grave questions about how the Home Office discharged its duty of care towards people who were made vulnerable because of lack of documentation.
"It failed to protect their rights to live, work and access services in the UK, and many have suffered distress and material loss as a result. This was both predictable and forewarned.

As if it was required, more evidence of May not listening, not taking advice, not making a reassessment and just stubbornly ploughing on towards the mother of all F’ Ups. Exactly what is happening with her “Deal”.

“Mrs May has a high threshold for humiliation”.
This is a power-crazed woman who should stand down today and allow someone else to manage the remains of the shambles she has created.

For me, her party ought to remove her from office if she refuses to go and install the most appropriate stand-in candidate, Dominic Grieve, as her replacement.

How many intelligent people from the political world and the legal world does it take to convince the arrogant bitch that she is simply wrong?

The establishment doesn't like having lots of police or tax inspectors and neither does the common criminal class in respect of the first of those - tax isn't a worry for them as they never pay any…..ever! Those are the groups that May has has encouraged and protected while on her watch, food bank numbers have burgeoned, the NHS, local councils, transport, emergency services, prisons and so on have been starved of funds.

Meanwhile, people like her multi-millionaire husband stand by with their American corporate friends, ready to step in and carve up the NHS and any other crumbs of the UK's publicly-owned utilities and services not yet sold off.

Theresa May's input to British society during her time, both as Home Secretary and as PM has wrecked lives and created even wider divisions in the country than existed previously. She is an absolute disgrace!

T May represents the most dangerous and serious threat to the people of the U.K. in living memory. As far as I’m concerned, anything which neutralises that threat would be acceptable.

Her and the extreme right wing of the Tory party maybe?

The big problem is that the modern extreme right is more efficient at communication than the mainstream, they are punching way above their weight. I may have to join facecr@p just so that I can check user profiles, thanks to "social" media profiles the takeover of the "grassroots" high-viz waistcoat movement by Frances lunatic fringe right wing has been exposed!

I was able to watch quite a bit of the debate in the Commons last evening and I was left with two memories which may well have struck a chord among others who watched.

Those memories are the outstanding performance of the Speaker, John Bercow, who prevented the whole debate from degenerating into farce and the other was the speech from Margaret Beckett, which was a great example of how to conduct oneself in the HoC.

Surely Cameron, Osbourne, Boris, Gove, Davis Fox and Jackass Grease Smug and the other leave camp loonies were pretty much equally dangerous?

their tactic is to use 'direct democracy' as a marketing tool. They pick a contentious subject (ie immigration) and claim they have a simple solution. The media found it curious, interesting or shocking or whatever, repeat and spread their story. The problem is if the solution is simple, then why has the problem not been solved? The extreme right has a ready scapegoat for it.
The solution is sadly something like brexit. It provokes conversations and educates.

For all of their failings, I think they actually have a soul and a pulse. Theresa May on the other hand....

They say she is quite religious and a Christian. Some of the nastiest & most mean spirited people I have ever met fit into that category. People who deliberately set out to upset and disadvantage people for totally unnecessary reasons, other than some form of perverse self satisfaction (Windrush).

You are quite correct in that suggestion but none of those is currently in a position to create damage as May herself.

There are other countries where all of that bunch would be lined up against a wall and removed not just from public life but from life itself.

They should consider themselves fortunate that their countrymen for the most part are more civilised than those in the kind of country I mentioned as they have all betrayed the British people for their own selfish ends.
