I would be sick of eating curries after a week.
Promise you you wouldn't. I love curries, been having them in all "best" curry houses all over North since 70's. But the tika I had today was stunning... Probably because first one I, ve had on beach... There is lots more to Indian food than hot curries. Not sure but I, m sure I read somewhere that hot curries were brought about by army folk in India... Its sort of an English Indian thing.?? But I, m sure flecc will know... Complete absence of racism here, so far... Think they have other issues tho.. Castist ?? Not seen any yet but don't think my Jamaican skin would fit into any categories???
Obviously country has problems but just like Vietnam it's got massive growth and unimaginable consumer potential. (Indian entrepreneur out with us this morning was assuring me India will pass entire EU inside 30 years ??Can't see it myself but who knows.)

Flecc
Our Visas are only 60 days and it is problematic. The e visa system is far from problem free (we had one in our party initially refused entry, he, d stored e visa (as most would expect to do) on his phone. Customs chap went to town with him, insisted on checking his numbers on system but system was down for 3 hours. Tip.. If you come. Print out your electronic visa..!!! If PP number on it matches yours, they let you in, if system down. If its in your phone, they wait until system wakes up. (He was 3 hours waiting)!!!
Just one of those anomalies. But fastest PP check I, ve been through. They had 10 on where Jamaicans would have 2 and one of those would be sleeping, or smoking .or singing..or even all 3.

yes, India is the world's fastest growing economy. I would have thought that they'll grow eventually to a bigger economy than the USA's at the end of this century - just behind China.

In a written statement, the ECJ said Mr Campos Sanchez-Bordona's opinion was that if a country decided to leave the EU, it should also have the power to change its mind during the two-year exit process specified in Article 50 of the EU treaty.

And it should be able to do so without needing the consent of the other 27 member states - contrary to what the EU itself has argued.

So we can easily cancel Art 50. I assume we go back to a deal pre referendum and keep our rebate,
Theresa May wrote the Art 50 letter, can she just cancel it or do we have to have a parliament vote????
Trouble is will May appear a failure and will Corbyn want to keep the crisis going because its his best route into power. Nothing is in the best interests of our country its all about power grab and we are the pawns, disgusting !!!

I suspect that she could just cancel it - even if she later gets told that she needed to have parliamentary approval.

Why, she might even get told she was in contempt of parliament for doing so, but Cox has shown all you have to do is suggest that HoC had been a bit vague.

(Hope that doesn't act as an incantation to bring back Hague. :))

The timing was a mere coincidence if course...
Yes... If the British court of appeal had ruled earlier, they would have had a earlier ruling.. The way EU courts operate is that all legal avenues in the country off origine must have been exhausted, before an application can be considered. .. So much for riding roughshod over the local courts.
But certainly the aplication has been expedited. . Not much sense in issuing it next May would there?.

no, she can't. Brexit is set in law, TM will need a new parliament Act to reverse it.

They are literally trying everything to reverse Brexit.

Everything.

The one I find the most strange...well by strange I mean transparent is the utter backing by the Lib Dems and the remainers of the other 2 parties saying what a good deal Mays nonsense is.

Then you get the EU saying we can withdraw A50 and just pretend we never had a vote.

So brazen in its complete disregard for British democracy it's almost unbelievable. Until you remember it's the EU and you're not allowed to leave.
We wouldnt be so keen to cancel Brexit if it even looked like a good idea...I havent heard anything positive to be said about Brexit, even the government is saying that we can 'minimise the damage',Mays deal is the 'best worst option.
I have often entered a new project and within hours have realised it is a bad deal but persevered because its my idea and maybe it will evolve into something better,it never does,if it was a bad idea at the outset it gets worse, thats Brexit.
Dont forget that Cameron gave us the referendum not because he thought it was good for our country,he thought he would win it and rid himself of the Tory bastards....what happened was the fracture inside the Tory party has spread to the people. Notice how Cameron is nowhere to be seen,no interviews,no press releases,he has left poor Theresa May to handle the poisoned chalice....the cowardly guy is like the bloke who threw the first punch at the disco then run outside to watch the fight .

The opinion ,and it's not as yet a judgement, is that it has to be in conformance with the constitutional provisions of the state and in good faith. .. So I would assume that it would mean that the Great Withdrawal Bill would need to be on the order paper, and it would need a one liner Act agreed by HoC etc.

No we shouldn't we should realise how stupid a mistake we are about to make and abandon brexit

Yep, shout louder at the kid. Or should we all gather on poolside and have another vote... Then shout at him again..
I, m afraid having another vote would be like going back on decisions ref made at a football match. He makes mistakes but his mistakes can't be changed. If you did every single thing he says would be scrutinised, argued over and changed. It would ruin the game. Voting again I, m afraid would damage democracy, and its well bruised already.
Its probably time for everybody to just say to Government. Look you govern, do what we pay you to do and decide. Leave or stay. We thought leave but you silly feckers do your fecking job and govern. It's called a Government for a reason.
It somebody worth their salt would stand up and say. "Look, we, ve investigated every angle, this is our best deal and it's shite. Our best option is to stay. What do we pay May to do... Can you imagine Churchill or Wilson or even Thatcher being in this mess. Oh hang on a minute..

Let's see now. There was a refendum clearly non legally binding in form that lies, misleading information and criminal action resulted in a narrow victory for the leave faction
A victory of deceit, lies and criminal activities for which the evidence is more than strong enough in any democracy for the result to be discarded as rigged.
Added to that two years have passed and it is obvious except to anyone incapable of understanding simple facts that this is an extremely stupid course of action that will further damage the nation for at least a generation till common sense prevails again.

And the most stupid of all part of your post
"Until you remember it's the EU and you're not allowed to leave."
No one is stopping us except the elected members of Parliament

The EU has made no effort whatsoever to actually stop us leaving.
Where is your evidence to support that?

After brexit you can remove UK worker protection, environmental protection, food security whatever you wish. Just don't expect us to buy your stuff any more.

Simples!
maybe we'll stop buying your stuff. South African golden delicious are much better and we can source good wines from all over the world and cheaper

Disregarding your usual dissembling essentially the part about the Government should decide is correct, except for this
We haven't got a Government, have we? all we have is groups of politicians that sit on both sides of the house of commons but actually don't constitute either a Government or an opposition.
And heading up what may be the biggest loose grouping among this rabble is a Despotic Woman surrounded by the lowest form of political life known to humanity a group of Renta Fascists, belonging to subversive fictional organisations that pass themselves of under flags of convenience and ludicrously make claim of being "Research groups " or "Think tanks"
The so called "opposition" is no better, half are pink pound shop Tories, an the Leader is in a world of his own with about the same chance of making his socialist dream (worthy though it is) come true as Che Guevara did.

The truth is this lot are neither fit to govern or to decide the fate of the country.
A peoples vote will be the way out they are likely to take to cut their responsibility and place it back onto the public.

Even that will not put the genie back into this particular bottle, the only safe way out is to cancel Brexit as both a poisoned vote, and not viable anyway.

And be used to sell political opinions and manipulate the public.
I was given one just like the one in the pic as a birthday present recently and I find it quite useful. It's quicker than opening up my laptop and doing an internet search.

From what you have revealed though, OG, I'm worried now that it might have the capacity to change me into an imbecilic 'Brexit' fan. Is there any evidence to support this revelation?

Should we perhaps survey forum users to see who owns one and then check to see if they have always been stupid or if the condition only emerged and became obvious after acquiring one of these Amazon devices?

I have heard that some people have more than one which might account for the ultra-high level of stupidity evidenced by some in this place.;)

Which faction of the Conservatives was voted in? that is the problem, when no one knows what the leave vote actually means. without asking for clarifiaction from the public
